UpweySaint Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 Does anybody happen to know if there be a steam available as was the case for the Bournemouth friendly? If so links would be kindly appreciated!
Saint-Reece Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 I believe I saw on twitter somewhere earlier that there will be commentary available online from bbc radio sussex? I'm not sure if I imagined that though...

Toon Saint Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 The Amex is a great stadium isn't it? Wish we could have gone for something a bit more unique than our copycat pudding bowl effort.
Lighthouse Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 The Amex is a great stadium isn't it? Wish we could have gone for something a bit more unique than our copycat pudding bowl effort. With a higher capacity and at 1/3 the cost. The Amex is nice but it isn't that nice.
Toon Saint Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 With a higher capacity and at 1/3 the cost. The Amex is nice but it isn't that nice. Ten years between the opening of St. Mary's and the Amex might account for some of that difference in cost. Don't get me wrong, our stadium is perfectly fine - brilliant views from almost every seat and pitch is always immaculate - but does lack a bit of character.
suewhistle Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 taking this plus our Dxb Saints logo down Pratunam tomorrow to see if can get stuff made in time!#couldsellmorethanthestripes! But have to credit EoA who shared it on FB Oi Phil, don't forget our PTS Nutjob commemorative t-shirts... :-)
Mallagroth Posted 31 July, 2014 Author Posted 31 July, 2014 (edited) #SaintsFC team vs @OfficialBHAFC: Boruc, Clyne, Fonte ©, Yoshida, Bertrand, Wanyama, Ward-Prowse, S. Davis, Tadić, Isgrove, Pellè. That is looking much better already. Just seeing the monster in there helps. #SaintsFC substitutes vs @OfficialBHAFC: K. Davis (GK), Flannigan, Stephens, McQueen, Cork, Mayuka, Hooiveld, Reed, Targett. Edited 31 July, 2014 by Mallagroth
Bobbyboy Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 #SaintsFC team vs @OfficialBHAFC: Boruc, Clyne, Fonte ©, Yoshida, Bertrand, Wanyama, Ward-Prowse, S. Davis, Tadić, Isgrove, Pellè. Immediate thoughts: no Cork, no Gaston. Isgrove getting a decent run here in pre-season.
ratio_decidendi Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 Nice to see Bertrand start. Not expecting fireworks but great to get him out there with the rest of the team. Also, from this line up you can see where Koeman's targets are, perhaps? I can not see Yoshida or Isgrove starting the season.
Bewildered Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 Subs: K. Davis (GK), Flannigan, Stephens, McQueen, Cork, Mayuka, Hooiveld, Reed, Targett.
Batman Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 Subs: K. Davis (GK), Flannigan, Stephens, McQueen, Cork, Mayuka, Hooiveld, Reed, Targett. the starting 11 looks a bit better Just need morgan to sort his head out and another few signings as that bench is very weak COYR
Mallagroth Posted 31 July, 2014 Author Posted 31 July, 2014 (edited) Really don't like the fact there is no Ramirez. Before anyone panics lets wait and see if either took a knock in training or similar. The club normally tells us where absent players are. Edited 31 July, 2014 by Mallagroth editing for Saint_ed
saint_ed Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 Corks on the bench, before anyone panics lets wait and see if either took a knock in training or similar. The club normally tells us where absent players are. I couldn't edit quick enough! I must have glazed over Cork on the bench.
Saints foreva Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 Chambers still not recovered from his illness then? Oh.

Saint Charlie Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 Terrible attacking depth. Still need 6 more signings. Should be a good game though. Report to come later.
Matthew Le God Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 Terrible attacking depth. Still need 6 more signings. Should be a good game though. Report to come later. Add Gallagher, Ramirez and Schneiderlin to the squad and it looks better. But yes, we still need some attacking additions.
Olallana Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 Strange, doesn´t Kenya have a game sunday? Good for us though of course to see Vic back.
saint si Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 And don't forget Jay Rod to return mid season (assuming he's not sold... but then that's true of anyone). Surprised at how much pre-season time Isgrove is getting. Fringe at best last season. Maybe suits Koeman's preferred style.
BlakeySFC Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 Strange, doesn´t Kenya have a game sunday? Good for us though of course to see Vic back. He got sent off for Kenya so no point him being out there, so he came back early to us.
saint_ed Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 Add Gallagher, Ramirez and Schneiderlin to the squad and it looks better. But yes, we still need some attacking additions. I wouldn't have included Gallagher in that list. Needs to be loaned out to toughen him up.
angelman Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 Terrible attacking depth. Still need 6 more signings. Should be a good game though. Report to come later. Charlie, do you live in or anywhere near Richmond?
ratio_decidendi Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 Ramirez picked up a knock according to Adam Blackmore. He ain't going anywhere.
Matthew Le God Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 I wouldn't have included Gallagher in that list. Needs to be loaned out to toughen him up. All I said was that it would make the squad better than it is today. Why don't you think that is the case?
saint_ed Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 All I said was that it would make the squad better than it is today. Why don't you think that is the case? I find him completely ineffective at this level so wouldn't consider it strengthening the squad at all.
Matthew Le God Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 I find him completely ineffective at this level so wouldn't consider it strengthening the squad at all. Again you are misunderstanding what I said. I said it would improve the quality of today's bench which is... Subs: K. Davis (GK), Flannigan, Stephens, McQueen, Cork, Mayuka, Hooiveld, Reed, Targett If Pelle gets injured today, without Gallagher there is no like-for-like replacement even if you think Gallagher isn't ready.
Window Cleaner Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 Ramirez has a knock A knock on his door from another (Italian) club you mean I expect.
ericofarabia Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 LOLZ ... when I saw the team sheet on Face Book, in my haste to read who was playing / missing, I mis read Graziano as Gazzanigga. Cripes, I know we are short of a player or five, but playing a keeper at Centre Forward nearly made me throw a wobbler
Saint Without a Halo Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 Ramirez has a knock Does it need a medical?
Beckenham Saint Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 A knock on his door from another (Italian) club you mean I expect. Probably means what he said, I expect.
Twiggy Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 Fonte is named as captain... Why is the contract will not offered -.-
shurlock Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 Ramirez picked up a knock according to Adam Blackmore. He ain't going anywhere. Either way, seems a recurring theme with him. Not quite sick note levels. But not a surprise anymore.
Window Cleaner Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 Probably means what he said, I expect. What like Chambers being ill you mean.
Window Cleaner Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 So any commentary or anything for the game ?

itchen_dan Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 Can't seem to get it to work in Florida on an ipad, any tips? Try Talksport. It appears to be on there. alex_crook: For #saintsfc fans not at the Amex tonighy myself and @sammatterface have it covered on @talkSPORTKO http://t.co/xLzQ7FGo6S
ericofarabia Posted 31 July, 2014 Posted 31 July, 2014 ' I wish to register a complaint, that midfielder you sold me not half an hour ago has a dodgy knee' ' no no it just needs resting.... still eh , beautiful beard' 'The beard don't enter into it my lad, turns out the only reason he passed the medical was that every time the doctor went near that knee he did a cruyff turn so the doctor ended up examining the wrong knee' 'He's probably pining for Fords' 'Pining for Fords? what kind of talk is that' 'Where they used to make the transit vans, he's not that bright to be honest, we used to call them Trannys and he got all confused, bless' etc.... Got to love the gallows humour on here, this alongside Bearsy's Morgan ice cream sketch are right up there with the best. Thanks for the LOL's in these dark times!!
