angelman Posted 14 July, 2014 Posted 14 July, 2014 Sky are showing our opening game, so a change to kick off time. Nowl there's a surprise that Liverpool are being televised yet again. Are we to endure another season of media love in with them?
DuncanRG Posted 14 July, 2014 Posted 14 July, 2014 I'm gonna be at a festival in London if it's still on the Saturday. Trying to decide whether to miss a few bands and find somewhere with wifi or record it, avoid the internet and watch when I get home...
100%Red&White Posted 14 July, 2014 Posted 14 July, 2014 Fingers crossed for a Saturday tea-time kick-off. The Monday night game would be a right arse-ache for the fans.
nta786 Posted 14 July, 2014 Posted 14 July, 2014 It'll be the evening kick off I reckon, as BT usually hold the 12:45pm kick offs. Shame for me as I can't make late kick offs usually, especially as it is away, but having said that, we've only ever won one game on BT Sport, and it means the biased monotomous Michael Owen won't be commentating! Except we'll now have Redknapp and Carragher and Souness...yaay.

The9 Posted 14 July, 2014 Posted 14 July, 2014 3 Sunday matches and a Monday night left to choose from with us NOT being on BT Sport. If it means I can go to Morecambe v Newport on the Saturday too I'm all in favour (though Sunday would be preferred).
View From The Top Posted 14 July, 2014 Posted 14 July, 2014 It's a sh*t load of money saved for a ground with an utterly sh*t view so I'm more than happy.
trousers Posted 14 July, 2014 Posted 14 July, 2014 Carlsberg don't do fixtures that were guaranteed to be televised, but if they did....
mightysaints Posted 14 July, 2014 Posted 14 July, 2014 Going to be on hols so should be able to see it
Huffton Posted 14 July, 2014 Posted 14 July, 2014 I'm in Turkey. Luckily the hotel has wifi, anyone know if sky go works abroad?
tombletomble Posted 14 July, 2014 Posted 14 July, 2014 I'm in Turkey. Luckily the hotel has wifi, anyone know if sky go works abroad? Are you going to be using a laptop or tablet? I'd it's a laptop then it won't be a problem as you can use a proxy so it appears that you're still in the UK.
stevegrant Posted 14 July, 2014 Posted 14 July, 2014 I'm in Turkey. Luckily the hotel has wifi, anyone know if sky go works abroad? You'd have to route your internet traffic through a proxy or VPN so Sky Go thinks you're in the UK.
sadoldgit Posted 14 July, 2014 Posted 14 July, 2014 Carlsberg don't do fixtures that were guaranteed to be televised, but if they did.... Indeed. Saints v Saints Reserves had SKY all over it. I hope the SKY jinx takes a day off.
Doctoroncall Posted 14 July, 2014 Posted 14 July, 2014 You'd have to route your internet traffic through a proxy or VPN so Sky Go thinks you're in the UK. and it'll be slow if it's the free wifi.
pap Posted 14 July, 2014 Posted 14 July, 2014 Wahey. Hopefully this'll lessen demand a little for actual attendance.
stevegrant Posted 14 July, 2014 Posted 14 July, 2014 Wahey. Hopefully this'll lessen demand a little for actual attendance. If it's on TV, as seems inevitable, we'll take the 1900 allocation tops.

Hatch Posted 14 July, 2014 Posted 14 July, 2014 at least we wont be bottom of the league on Saturday evening.
Saint_clark Posted 14 July, 2014 Posted 14 July, 2014 at least we wont be bottom of the league on Saturday evening. Unless every saturday game is a draw.
Sour Mash Posted 14 July, 2014 Posted 14 July, 2014 Is it just me or do we seem quite low in terms of games picked for tv? BT Sports have never seemed too keen on us. Shouldn't complain though.

nta786 Posted 14 July, 2014 Posted 14 July, 2014 Keep the bug gers away from us. Saturday lunchtime games should be made illegal. Sunderland vs Southampton last season- became the most fuc*king annoying fixture ever. 3 times we played them away, 2 of them on a Saturday lunchtime, (BT SPORT ffs), and the other was a midweek late night kick off to see our reserves. And let's not get started on our team selection on that FA Cup game...
Huffton Posted 14 July, 2014 Posted 14 July, 2014 You'd have to route your internet traffic through a proxy or VPN so Sky Go thinks you're in the UK. Oh well, im sure there will be a bar somewhere showing it. Thatll please the mrs on day 2 of the holiday:scared:

That was such a frustrating set of games! I will mark the season as successful in one way whatever happens if we actually manage to f***ing beat Sunderland for the first time this PL spell! Mind you having RK who is touted as a tactical mastermind rather than one-policy-Poch should help that ambition!
