ART Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 I think Koeman told him last week. "you scratch my back (and return for pre season) and I'll scratch yours ( i.e. wait till I bring in your replace and we'll sort your transfer out.) When Lovren began throwing his toys out of the pram and the Media were saying 20 million Liverpool had only offered begrudgingly 14 million. Steve Grant is right and they've only offered now 18 million. far short of what we expect if he's to leave. Optimistically, maybe a future signing will make those planning to leave have a change of mind. To date Lovren doesn't seem too keen on changing his mind though. Hoping he gets to play tomorrow night.

Bearsy Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 I think, iansums, that you are making an accusation dressed as a question, which is also something that we often see on here. In any case, you are over the line! When ART prefaces his posts with "I think" we can reasonably assume that the following statements are speculative in nature. That is what I would do, if i was iansums.

As such said poster can be legitimately torn to shreds, have their parentage questioned and honour savaged for daring to contribute to the debate. FACT!
The9 Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 In other news, I tried to type "beardy" in a text as part of an insult to Lallana yesterday, and my phone suggested "Bearsy". This worried me.
Colinjb Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 In other news, I tried to type "beardy" in a text as part of an insult to Lallana yesterday, and my phone suggested "Bearsy". This worried me. Bearsy is Skynet. You heard it here first.

It's ART, what are we going to do, undermine his credibility?
Colinjb Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 It's ART, what are we going to do, undermine his credibility? For daring to share his thoughts? Worse has happened on here.
The9 Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 For daring to share his thoughts? Worse has happened on here. My point is that you need to have even a shred of it in the first place.
Colinjb Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 My point is that you need to have even a shred of it in the first place. Just so long it's not Barry Sanchez, Glasgow/Heisenberg or Alpine it all good by me.

This worried me. You've been texting insults to Lallana? Excellent work! Please do share his number so we can all join in!

The9 Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 You've been texting insults to Lallana? Excellent work! Please do share his number so we can all join in! Unfortunately it was more of at insult "of" him than actually "to" him. Good to see his beard remaining at Saints though.
Big Bad Bob Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 Is that our Dejan in training today? I'm crap at faces..
The9 Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 Is that our Dejan in training today? I'm crap at faces.. Yes, and to help, it's the bit between his hair and his chin.

I just tested this & my phone said same thing. I am officially more predicted than beards! At least as far as Apple Corp is concerned.
angelman Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 That's Wanyama I for one know that's not Wanyama, who as we all know is the Japanese bloke we have

I think I was a little hasty in trying to start an argument with Art, I forgot to highlight the part of Arts post that I was querying, I.e. They've only offered 18 million. That bit sounded like a statement of fact to me and I wondered if he had a source.
Bearsy Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 You're ok iansums, you weren't to know that ART is my bro & under my protection, we will let you off with warning this time!
Lets B Avenue Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 You're ok iansums, you weren't to know that ART is my bro & under my protection, we will let you off with warning this time! Protection or care?
Charlie Wayman Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 Much could depend upon Morgan. If the man says "Yes" then maybe Lovren will hang around for one more season.
farawaysaint Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 Dejan's first smile of pre-season Confirmation of Liverpool move! The bastard is happy!
Saint_Abroad Posted 16 July, 2014 Posted 16 July, 2014 Dejan's first smile of pre-season O Christmas, he's in bed with Fonte. What is in the water over there?
FloatingbridgeSaint Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 Was there any confirmation of why he didn't play last night? Seems strange that Saints were quick to put out a picture of Clyne but nothing on Lovren (unless i missed it). Was he watching the game?
thorpie the sinner Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 nada on why Lovren didn't play, not a dickie bird! Think he will be off as soon as we have found a replacement imo!
Saint Rees Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 Was there any confirmation of why he didn't play last night? Seems strange that Saints were quick to put out a picture of Clyne but nothing on Lovren (unless i missed it). Was he watching the game? I was thinking the same, but he did post a picture of him, Clyne and Sinclair (who also didn't play) doing some fitness. So maybe they weren't all fully fit, or he could be refusing to play?! who knows..
saint_ed Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 The fact the club felt the need to comment on Clyne's absence, yet not Lovren tells us all we need to know IMO. He will be off fairly sharpish.
red&white56 Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 ..........He will be off fairly sharpish. If he goes we'll end up a Pub Quiz tie break question? Which team sent 6 players to the 2014 world Cup and only got 2 back?? depressing but turning into reality................
Olallana Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 If he goes we'll end up a Pub Quiz tie break question? Which team sent 6 players to the 2014 world Cup and only got 2 back?? depressing but turning into reality................ I dont know the answer to that one, since we sent 7. (technically Lambert became a Liverpool player 1st july.)
lloydie Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 Dejan's first smile of pre-season Cant see Lovren on instagram anymore, pretty sure he blocked me after I gave him some "truths" on his wantaway photos! surprised he cared that much!
VectisSaint Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 I dont know the answer to that one, since we sent 7. (technically Lambert became a Liverpool player 1st july.) Nope, technically Lambert became a Liverpool player before the WC. The old chestnut about the transfer window not opening until 1st July (which I thought was true) has been proved to be complete crap.
Matthew Le God Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 I dont know the answer to that one, since we sent 7. (technically Lambert became a Liverpool player 1st july.) The transfer window opened at midnight after the Man Utd game in May. Lambert was a Liverpool player before the World Cup started.
hutch Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 The transfer window opened at midnight after the Man Utd game in May. Lambert was a Liverpool player before the World Cup started. How do you define what club a player plays for?
Matthew Le God Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 How do you define what club a player plays for? There are two transfer windows in each Barclays Premier League season. The first commences at midnight on the last day of the season and ends on 31 August if a working day - or, if not, on the first working day thereafter, at a time determined by the Board. The second transfer window commences at midnight on the 31 December and ends on the 31 January if a working day, and again, if not, on the first working day thereafter, at a time determined by the Board. http://www.premierleague.com/content/premierleague/en-gb/fans/faqs/when-does-transfer-window-open-close.html Lambert signed for Liverpool on 2nd June and Liverpool started paying his wages at that point. He wasn't a Southampton player during the World Cup.
St Chalet Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 http://www.premierleague.com/content/premierleague/en-gb/fans/faqs/when-does-transfer-window-open-close.html Lambert signed for Liverpool on 2nd June and Liverpool started paying his wages at that point. He wasn't a Southampton player during the World Cup. The official FIFA teamsheets do not validate this MLG. Sorry to be pedantic
SaintRichmond Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 nada on why Lovren didn't play, not a dickie bird! Think he will be off as soon as we have found a replacement imo! But, according to Koeman, no more players are leaving. Unless of course it all got lost in the translation ?
Matthew Le God Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 The official FIFA teamsheets do not validate this MLG. Sorry to be pedantic Who do you think paid Lambert's wages from 2nd June to 1st July? What do you think the Premier League mean by...? There are two transfer windows in each Barclays Premier League season. The first commences at midnight on the last day of the season
Lord Duckhunter Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 (edited) Players out of contract are still registered to their " old" club until 1st July, when their contract runs out and they become a free agent. Therefore, as RL's contract with us was running into next season, he became a Liverpool player and Liverpool paid his wages from the day he signed. He was not a free agent.Had Guly agreed to go to Liverpool with him, he'd have become a Liverpool player on the 1st July even if he'd signed on the same day. Edited 18 July, 2014 by Lord Duckhunter
hutch Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 The transfer window opened at midnight after the Man Utd game in May. Lambert was a Liverpool player before the World Cup started. Let me ask that one again. Last time you told me what a transfer window is. Thanks for that, but it wasn't what I asked. So, how do you define what club a player plays for?
Wurzel Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 Who do you think paid Lambert's wages from 2nd June to 1st July? What do you think the Premier League mean by...? Premier League window is from midnight of last fixture of the season. FIFA and UEFA window is 12 weeks from when it ends. So whilst PL were happy to let deal go through as there were no competitive club games it would affect he was still listed as a Saint by UEFA
lloydie Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 Well looks like i've stumbled into the annual "i've got the smallest ****" competition on this forum!
Pancake Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 O Christmas, he's in bed with Fonte. What is in the water over there? Christmas? Do you want to fiddle with his package under the tree?
St Chalet Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 Who do you think paid Lambert's wages from 2nd June to 1st July? What do you think the Premier League mean by...? I don't, as I suspect you don't know who paid his wages. Take it up with FIFA please MLG as they were the ones who listed him as a Southampton player at WC.
VectisSaint Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 I don't, as I suspect you don't know who paid his wages. Take it up with FIFA please MLG as they were the ones who listed him as a Southampton player at WC. That would be the same FIFA who thought Messi was the best player at the WC would it? It really has nothing to do with FIFA (or UEFA), transfers in England are regulated by the Football Association. Sorry but in this case MLG is correct, SRL was a Liverpool player before the WC started.
m735 Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 Was there any confirmation of why he didn't play last night? Seems strange that Saints were quick to put out a picture of Clyne but nothing on Lovren (unless i missed it). Was he watching the game? He was there, sat on a chair on the end outside the dugout. Only left his seat at HT to get an apple and then came back. Seemed to be interacting with the rest of the squad in particular Fonte and J Rod.
stevy777_x Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 If Borini is worth 14m then Lovren is definately worth 25m. I hope we hold out for that amount.
Badger Posted 18 July, 2014 Posted 18 July, 2014 If Borini is worth 14m then Lovren is definately worth 25m. I hope we hold out for that amount. We certainly should hold out. The thieving c^nts can't continually plead poverty with the £ they've raked in from selling Suarez, and don't seem to be shy in trying to buy up young untried players from the continent. So £25m minimum, plus a good sell on (for when he wants to walk out in 12/18months). Thinking about it, no b0ll0cks, let him rot in the reserves if he does not want to play for us.
