Miltonroadboy Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Chelsea now looking for a left back! He couldn't wait to desert the club that made him what he is and now finds himself admittedly at a big club but one that has no Champions League next year and not the one he always wanted - I'm so glad that he might be thinking s**t, why didn't I wait! Sorry, no sympathy - made your bed etc!! Bitter.... Me?!!
Batman Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 I bet he is gutted right now playing for man united. In real life. I doubt Chelsea have suddenly decided they needed a left back this morning
CB Fry Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 So what if they are looking for a left back. They obviously didn't want Shaw (or weren't prepared to pay the silly money MU did).
OVER THE HILL Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Chelsea wouldn't pay the price we wanted though
SNSUN Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 I would hazard a guess that Azpilicueta will still be their first choice left back and they're just looking to strengthen the "Cole" spot. In which case Shaw would've been far too expensive for them.
Goatboy Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Surely they have a youngster on loan somewhere? Have they lost track?
SNSUN Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Surely they have a youngster on loan somewhere? Have they lost track? Bertrand is available for £8 million, not sure if they have another youngster behind him. I'd take Bertrand for around £5-6 million btw.
doddisalegend Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Saw in the paper that (allegedly) Man U are now looking at Wolfsburg's LB Ricardo Rodriguez as well............ looks like Luke might have some competition for his place at Man U.
SaintAndyB Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Good. He is just another unloyal players who is in it for the money. Hope he fails.
Super_Saint Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Good. He is just another unloyal players who is in it for the money. Hope he fails. What about the players that join us from the Championship/Eredivisie/etc? Wouldn't we also be offering them better wages/bonuses?
Batman Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Good. He is just another unloyal players who is in it for the money. Hope he fails. And the likes of those at saints play for us for the love of the club? Would you really have turned down (a reported) £160k a week....??!!
Beckenham Saint Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Chelsea don't need a left back as they have apparently agreed a deal with Athletico Madrid for their left back, Luiz. Failing that, they are monitoring the situation of Marcos Rojo, both whom are currently better than Shaw. Don't see what your point is, as Shaw told us he wanted to play for United, signed for United, and Chelsea never came in for him - which I would suggest would have been quite an important factor for him to be able to sign for them!
John Boy Saint Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 The Titanic effect of leaving Saints without the blessing of the Saints fans (someone once wrote in a Hagiology book you don't choose to support Saints the Saints choose you) is looming on the horizon.
Colinjb Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Don't pray for Luke, he'll be fine. Should the very worst happen he and his family will never need to work again.
VectisSaint Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Don't pray for Luke, he'll be fine. Should the very worst happen he and his family will never need to work again. Should the very worst happen he will never need to work.
Colinjb Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Should the very worst happen he will never need to work. Errr, yes.
SaintRobbie Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 He's playing for manure. Ok, they have the second best Dutch manager in the PL, but hey... I'd rather play for manure than chelski.
AussieDog Posted 12 July, 2014 Posted 12 July, 2014 We ha e some bitter c*cks on our forum don't we? Lol
austsaint Posted 12 July, 2014 Posted 12 July, 2014 more importantly - is Shaw going to be replaced by a specialist LB? Or are we going to d ick around by using Clyne out of position (to our detriment) or hope that Targett is a) ready or b) good enough.
angelman Posted 12 July, 2014 Posted 12 July, 2014 We ha e some bitter c*cks on our forum don't we? Lol We certainly do. On the one hand it's very sad, but on the other, the amount of **** that the papers have been throwing our way, plus MP and AL's manner of departure, I guess some have just had enough and aren't thinking straight.
SaintRichmond Posted 12 July, 2014 Posted 12 July, 2014 Saw in the paper that (allegedly) Man U are now looking at Wolfsburg's LB Ricardo Rodriguez as well............ looks like Luke might have some competition for his place at Man U. I expect he'll follow Bale's example and become an attacker
Smirking_Saint Posted 12 July, 2014 Posted 12 July, 2014 Christ we have some tits in our fanbase. Im also pretty sure mourinho didnt wake up this morning and think 'oh ******** we need a lb' I dont blame the lad for leaving. He did it the right way, let the club sort it out and didnt force anything. Personally I hope he does well
ART Posted 12 July, 2014 Posted 12 July, 2014 After a 10 day holiday romp together in Marabella. on the occasion of Luke's 19th birthday today the happy couple seem to have decided to make a big announcement. Very hahahaha indeed
lloydie Posted 12 July, 2014 Posted 12 July, 2014 Only player i have a problem is Lallana. (And lovereb if he goes) Shaw deserves a decent welcome when he comes back as he didn't put a foot wrong and we got an insane amount of money for him.
IOWSaintDaz Posted 12 July, 2014 Posted 12 July, 2014 Only player i have a problem is Lallana. (And lovereb if he goes) Shaw deserves a decent welcome when he comes back as he didn't put a foot wrong and we got an insane amount of money for him. Agree with this, £30 Million for an 18yr old with one season behind him is a good deal.....however Lallana and Lovern can rot in hell for all I care.........can't wait for August 16th to see the lads stick it to 'pool COYR!!
Ohio Saint Posted 12 July, 2014 Posted 12 July, 2014 I think some people are missing the point about the anger at the way some players have left compared to others and just being crappy to all of them regardless.
farawaysaint Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Injured and out for a month That is a little bit funny to be fair.
Pancake Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 That is a little bit funny to be fair. 2 down, 2 to go (well let Lambert off)
Golden Balls Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Injured and out for a month Was always injury/illness prone.
ART Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Injured and out for a month What did he do, forget to tie up the shoelaces of his 50th new pair of trainers?
sadoldgit Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Poor Luke. I bet he didnt get to hook up with those twins either! Still, Chelsea have already said they couldnt afford his wages so I doubt if he is too unhappy.
lambertsrightleg Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Shaw chose Man United ahead of Chelsea because he didn't like Mourinho. He refered to shaw as "a boy" and told him that "he had potential" when they met.
Ohio Saint Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Not a life threatening injury, so yeah. It makes me giggle.
Dark Munster Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Earning a fortune playing football for one of the biggest clubs in the world. Yes, the joke's definitely on him.
Whitey Grandad Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 What did he do, forget to tie up the shoelaces of his 50th new pair of trainers? Dropped his wallet and bent down to pick it up too quickly.
angelman Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 DM, didn't want to start a new thread, and this was the first one I could find re: Luke Shaw. The Ha ha bit just happened to be there.
sadoldgit Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Shaw chose Man United ahead of Chelsea because he didn't like Mourinho. He refered to shaw as "a boy" and told him that "he had potential" when they met. If that is true then Luke does need to grow up. He is still very young and he has hardly reached his full potentail yet either. Still, was that any better than being told by his new manager that he is fat and unfit?
Leicestersaint Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Fat, unfit and out injured. Maybe something will happen to Lovren before Sunday?
DuncanRG Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Poor lad, hope it doesn't become a recurring problem.
KingdomCome Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 Fat, unfit and out injured. Maybe something will happen to Lovren before Sunday? Own goal on sunday?
adrian lord Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 The Curse of St Mary's striketh those that smiteth their Alma Mater. And why has he got his hand up his own arse?
lordswoodsaints Posted 13 August, 2014 Posted 13 August, 2014 He must be devastated playing for the biggest club in the world, still, he can go home to his mansion and count his money for comfort
