Bearsy Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 The broadcast section will be on Saints Player this evening, the BBC interview will be on the radio today/tomorrow morning, the OS will write it up, the BBC website will have a report and probably short video of it later and SSN will show clips of it all day. Yes, but who is on transcript duties?
Badger Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Perhaps they are waiting for someone to arrive so that it can be translated into Spanish.
Ken Tone Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 No, he is talking to BBC Radio Solent and the Premier League's media outlet first in one to one interviews. Srrange idea.... What's the point of a private interview, when it is to the press? They might as well let us see/hear that too
Matthew Le God Posted 11 July, 2014 Author Posted 11 July, 2014 Srrange idea.... What's the point of a private interview, when it is to the press? They might as well let us see/hear that too They do the same for every press conference before a game during the season. The BBC Radio Solent interview is then put on Saints Player and interspersed with clips of training. For example... Man Utd pre game press conference... http://www.player.saintsfc.co.uk/latest-news/article/3817004/date/20140509132200/page/0/name/pochettino-s-pre-man-utd-press-conference Man Utd pre game BBC Radio Solent interview that then goes on Saints Player... http://www.player.saintsfc.co.uk/latest-news/article/3817006/date/20140509132300/page/0/name/mauricio-calls-for-top-performance-in-season-finale
Saint_clark Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Srrange idea.... What's the point of a private interview, when it is to the press? They might as well let us see/hear that too Because if we watch it now there's no point in using their services later when they release the interviews.
Ken Tone Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 They do the same for every press conference before a game during the season. The BBC Radio Solent interview is then put on Saints Player and interspersed with clips of training. So do they ask the same questions all over again in the broadcast bit?
Matthew Le God Posted 11 July, 2014 Author Posted 11 July, 2014 So do they ask the same questions all over again in the broadcast bit? Often they do yes, but Adam Blackmore who normally does the BBC Solent interview on Saints Player doesn't ask questions in the press conference. Watch the examples I gave in the previous post. Its always done like that for a Premier League game build up.
the saint in winchester Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 hurry up, organised my latest ignore work period around this me too! I have to keep talking into my ear piece to pretend I'm on a conference call.
Jimmy_D Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Nice navigation of that question, Lovren's name sneaked in there and completely shot down.
Mr X Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 confirmed he wants to keep lovren, cant confirm hes staying, due back sunday.......... might not return
St Marco Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 I like his openness about player signings. Doesn't do the normal "we will see" line.
iansums Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 New player over weekend but missed who, was it Pelle?
shurlock Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Refreshingly open and honest - reckon it won't last.
Badger Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Who is this bint monopolising the interview ? Typically, won't give anyone else a chance to speak.
DuncanRG Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Says he is used to rebuilding a team every season in Holland. Hope he's not expecting to do it here next summer as well... Who is this bint monopolising the interview ? Typically, won't give anyone else a chance to speak. That's how press conferences work, you pig. She'll ask her questions and then it's someone else's turn to ask a few.
angelman Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Who is this ****ing woman asking about Suarez and Van Gaal?
Badger Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 "Louis Van Gaal" ? Just say it Ronald, "well, I think he's a bit of a c^nt, but I don't really want to comment.."
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 He keeps mentioning youngsters, Windows is gonna hate him already.
the saint in winchester Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Who is this bint monopolising the interview ? Typically, won't give anyone else a chance to speak. She is asking stupid irrelevant questions about Suarez and Van Gaal. This is Saints FC interview, girly!
DuncanRG Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 You guys should have seen all the men asking irrelevant questions last year!
Badger Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 New player over weekend but missed who, was it Pelle? yes
popyto Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Says he is used to rebuilding a team every season in Holland. Hope he's not expecting to do it here next summer as well... Already putting himself forward for spurs job then
the saint in winchester Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 I like the way he slurs the word 'philosophy'.
the saint in winchester Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Sounds like Osvaldo's binned us off. Get rid. "He hash a contract."
Pastor Patrón Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Can't understand why he hasn't been a bit busier speaking to some of the players. Should've at least phoned Ossie if he didn't turn up.
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Haha - Love his response to the Twitter Q. Think he's come across pretty well so far.
DuncanRG Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 What's this ***** doing asking questions about Suarez!? Typical man.
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Back to Suarez/Barcelona...... Are these guys completely stupid? What on earth is the relevance?
the saint in winchester Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 that's ya lot! "Turn the cameras off". Time to smoke a spliff.
jasonb Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 (edited) Big words there at the end! Allez Morgan! Dejan has got it coming by the sounds of it! Good. Despite all the Barca/Suarez stuff I was very impressed by that interview. A great grasp of English and seemed very forthright in his comments. I got the feeling that not a lot will be off limits this season. Deflected a few things as you would imagine but on the whole - very impressed. Officially welcome to Saints RK(oeman) Edited 11 July, 2014 by jasonb
Mr X Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Can't understand why he hasn't been a bit busier speaking to some of the players. Should've at least phoned Ossie if he didn't turn up. he doesn't answer his phone surprisingly
MarkSFC Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 re: Morgan..."he is a Southampton player..he will be a Southampton player". Great.
Jimmy_D Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Reckon he did well there, straight answers to everything, and hasn't thrown anyone under a bus.
pap Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Crapola questions from the journos, really. Interesting to hear the bit at the end about Schneiderlin; hopefully RK can turn him around. RK obviously got a way to go on the patter. All sounding a bit Goldmember atm. Even so, very refreshing to hear a Saints manager speaking English.
Saint_Ash Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 What's this ***** doing asking questions about Suarez!? Typical man. Nice of you to get offended of behalf of women. Handbag at dawn.
