saintmonkey1979 Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Liking that a lot. 2 good kits this season. Well done Saints
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 That's lush. Best two kits we've had since Air Florida.
aintforever Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Only annoying thing is that without a brand logo the club badge should be central.
Minty Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 For all you kit geeks out there the supplier website is out there if you want to go looking. I'm sure once The9 is back from abroadland he'll be on the case. Actually, he might be on the case already...
Brave Sir Robin Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Absolutely love that. Both kits are best we've had for years. Can't afford both though (can't really even afford one tbh). Might just buy the socks!
CB Fry Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Pretty smart. Out of interest, what would we wear at palace? White with red pinstripes?
The Kraken Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Pretty smart. Out of interest, what would we wear at palace? Technically could be potential problems against a few sides. Should be ok in most cases, but you could argue a case for quite a few sides: Aston Villa, Burnley and West Ham. All dark maroon with blue in the tops, so the red of the stripes and the dark blue may not be ideal. Palace, red and blue. QPR, can't wear the blue away, would red and white stripes offer enough contrast against blue and white hoops? Newcastle and West Brom, both dark/white stripes so both our kits could cause issues. We'd probably be ok in most instances, to be fair, but it might indicate a potential need for a third kit. Especially against Palace and QPR.
Sour Mash Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Looks like a jock kit. The shirt is a throwback to our L1 days. Someone isn't keen
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Nice. Just like the home shirt. Better then the shi tty template shirts knocked out by Nike & Adidas.
Trumush Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 "Back to branded kit next year" If Adidas or whoever we have just trot out some generic kit like they did last year I would rather stay independent. Do agree though that £50 is a bit steep.
Beckenham Saint Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Where has the £50 / £55 been quoted? Haven't seen in anywhere official...
Fan The Flames Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 looks identical to that united top though..lol Apart from being blue and round necked they are different lol
solentstars Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Nice. Just like the home shirt. Better then the shi tty template shirts knocked out by Nike & Adidas. Agree but some people want a band name so they can pose.I rather we stayed independent and all the profits went to the club .
Matthew Le God Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 (edited) Where has the £50 / £55 been quoted? Haven't seen in anywhere official... The article about the away kit on the official website... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/10072014-201415-away-kit-unveiled-1738560.aspx The article about the home kit also had prices... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/04072014-201415-home-kit-reveal-1716325.aspx Edited 10 July, 2014 by Matthew Le God
alpine_saint Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Pretty smart. Out of interest, what would we wear at palace? As I said, a yellow shirt would be nice.
alpine_saint Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 The steep price may reflect the club having to pay over-the-odds for the deal because of the short notice.
alpine_saint Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Time for a poll isn't it mods? Do we still have them ? I kind of wondered considering VFTT calling people "c**t" every 2 minutes and still being around....
Matthew Le God Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 (edited) Some more close-ups... Edited 10 July, 2014 by Matthew Le God
Fan The Flames Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 The steep price may reflect the club having to pay over-the-odds for the deal because of the short notice. Shut up you si
alpine_saint Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Fits together better than the home kit. Dont like the dark stripes in the red shirt stripes and in the socks on the home kit.
cellone Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Nice. Take it the three lads in the photo are staying then.
alpine_saint Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Shut up you si Huh ? it was a genuine attempt to suggest why this is as expensive as an Addidas kit with fancy-Dan gold sponsorship...
shurlock Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Huh ? it was a genuine attempt to suggest why this is as expensive as an Addidas kit with fancy-Dan gold sponsorship... It's got four rather than three stripes in the weave
Colinjb Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Honestly, the more I look at it, the more 'meh' I feel about it. It is just a functional away shirt for me, will buy it as I always do but don't dislike it, don't feel enthralled.
Beckenham Saint Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 The article about the away kit on the official website... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/10072014-201415-away-kit-unveiled-1738560.aspx The article about the home kit also had prices... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/04072014-201415-home-kit-reveal-1716325.aspx Haha that'll teach me to actively look for the information that I want to know instead of waiting for it to come to me on Twitter! Cheers MLG
solentstars Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Only thing that bothers me is the price. Great kit, happily buy it at £35-40. But £50 is really taking the **** even if others clubs are doing it. I always thought football shirts we're over priced but a lot of people pay that price especially if they have that silly tick or Nike or adidas badge on
St Jim Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Very nice. Do we have to ho back to Addidas nect season?
Polaroid Saint Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Shexy. Well, shexy enough for me. Aha. still sent from my effing nexus 4, but I have found the setting now dammit.
itchen_dan Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Told ya so ; ) Pretty decent, still prefer the home kit mind. Looks a little lop sided without a Saints Apparel logo/manufacturers logo. Muvi sponsor looks very good. The fits on the kits look so much better than the training gear which is a relief. For all you kit geeks out there the supplier website is out there if you want to go looking. Back to branded kit next year. Come on then, i can't find it. Who is it?
GarrettIvo Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 I reckon it's class. I also reckon it shows that some of the people who'd earlier dropped supposed ITK tips about it being shocking and various other WUMMERIES are a bunch of ****** I won't name names but they'll know who they are.
Matthew Le God Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Out of interest, what would we wear at palace? The two home kits haven't been deemed a kit clash in the past...
Saints foreva Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Great, a pic of a mostly white saints kit when the current one is mostly red. I was just about to point that out. I can't recall us wearing any other home shirt away at Palace.
Matthew Le God Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Great, a pic of a mostly white saints kit when the current one is mostly red. The Palace kit this season is largely blue... I don't think it'll clash with our home kit. Especially as we have black shorts and red socks.
Chez Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Shame that blue wasn't used on the home shorts. Think the kit looks slightly strange without a logo, but I suspect that will actually start to look good after a while. Feels lie it fits together with shorts and socks unlike the striped kit which doesn't sit well, together at all. Have to laugh at anyone buying one of these things though if they are £50. Absolute madness.
DrZuess1979 the 2nd Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 Does remind me of http://www.colours-of-football.com/colours03/eng/southampt/southam_1.html Gray umbro circa 2008-2009 Could have done a lot worse with both kits, so overall iam pleased
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 10 July, 2014 Posted 10 July, 2014 It's ok but I'm not a fan of that sludgy blue with the yellow and the shorts look a completely different shade. Reminds me of that navy kit with the yellow chest panel from a few seasons back - the worst Saints kit of all time IMO. Black would've looked much better.
DT Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 S'alright. Bit cheapo looking. Round necks not good for overheating
sussexsaint Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 Smart, not sure re collar and blue only a matter of time before someone puts Fukka underneath the sposor
richardc Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 With Cork promoting the new kit - does that mean he will get a new contract and not leave
andrew7610 Posted 11 July, 2014 Posted 11 July, 2014 It immediately made me think of the Movistar pro cycling team's kit. And that's not a bad thing as far as I'm concerned.
