SuperSAINT Posted 29 August, 2014 Posted 29 August, 2014 West Ham look like getting Song and Micah Richards. Shame, I'd have taken Richards here.
JxgrSaint Posted 29 August, 2014 Posted 29 August, 2014 West Ham look like getting Song and Micah Richards. They've done some great business if they get them as well as Zarate, Kouyate and Poyet. I'm loathed to admit it but credit where credit's due...
angelman Posted 29 August, 2014 Posted 29 August, 2014 Remy to Chelsea for £8m (and God know's what wage).
Saint Charlie Posted 29 August, 2014 Posted 29 August, 2014 QPR in talks for Sandro. Would be another very decent signing from a rival.
JxgrSaint Posted 29 August, 2014 Posted 29 August, 2014 Remy to Chelsea for £8m (and God know's what wage). That's so annoying, I'm going to have to play my wildcard and rearrange my Fantasy football team now I've got 4 Chelsea players...
WATERSIDEIFASAINT Posted 29 August, 2014 Posted 29 August, 2014 can anyone think of any premier league club that has had a worst transfer window than Saints? I suppose the only blessing if they are still hear on tuesday is that we have still got Morgan,Cork and J Rod so it could have been even worse!!
FairWeather Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 According to BBC gossip, Leicester are offering £8m for David McGoldrick. If that really is the going rate at the moment, it puts the £12m for Shane Long into perspective.

If that really is the going rate at the moment, it puts the £12m for Shane Long into perspective. Panic buy, if I have ever seen one! Gets silly the closer to deadline day. On a different note, west ham will be fine. I fear for Leicester, QPR, Palace and Burnley, who I think will be scraping it out at the bottom!

SuperSAINT Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 United get permission to speak to Daley Blind.
Jimmy_D Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 United get permission to speak to Daley Blind. Does LVG have some sort of plan that relies on ritual sacrifice of expensive leftbacks or something?
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 West Ham would have a pretty damn physically strong midfield of Song / Diame / Kouyate then. True, but big Vic could 'ave 'em all.
Wrensup Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 True' date=' but big Vic could 'ave 'em all.[/quote'] At the same time!
Saint Without a Halo Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 People said it was crazy fee for Long, but I said to judge the fee by the replacement Hull sign. Hernandez has scored 17 goals in 83 games in Serie A, which is 0.205 goals per game which is marginally better than 28 in 148 for Long (0.189 goals per game), so on paper, not an upgrade and when you take experience of this league into account, it could be a retrograde move, albeit with £2.5m in the bank. You could argue it is harder to score in Serie A (given their goals a game is consistently lower than the premiere) So maybe it is an upgrade? time will tell who scores more this season. We need to add that for the change on Long the got a good defender too. I also note Hull were quick to spend the money they got in on reasonable replacements but we are still struggling since the end of the world cup!
SuperSAINT Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Does LVG have some sort of plan that relies on ritual sacrifice of expensive leftbacks or something? Blind will get a great signing for them. Plays left back, defensive midfield or centre-back. Relative bargain at £14m.
Doctoroncall Posted 30 August, 2014 Posted 30 August, 2014 Spurs sign French defensive midfielder who is NOT Morgan French Ligue 1 club Montpellier have tweeted that an agreement has been reached for the transfer of defensive midfielder Benjamin Stambouli, 24, to Tottenham. Hopefully ends their interest in MS.
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 31 August, 2014 Posted 31 August, 2014 Crikey. Ulloa has had a decent start. I can't have been the only one to have raised an eyebrow at that one. Fair play to him.
S-Clarke Posted 31 August, 2014 Posted 31 August, 2014 Hull City forward George Boyd, 28, is poised to complete a £3million move to Premier League new boys Burnley on a three-year deal, Sky sources understand. What are Burnley up to.
Batman Posted 31 August, 2014 Posted 31 August, 2014 That sanogo is a fuking donkey Why won't wenger buy a top striker. Weird
Badger Posted 31 August, 2014 Posted 31 August, 2014 That sanogo is a fuking donkey Why won't wenger buy a top striker. Weird He's probably waiting for one to emerge from our Academy.
SuperSAINT Posted 31 August, 2014 Posted 31 August, 2014 QPR in talks for Sandro. Would be another very decent signing from a rival. Sandro & Diarra would give them quite a nice solid midfield.
Gorgiesaint Posted 31 August, 2014 Posted 31 August, 2014 They've done some great business if they get them as well as Zarate, Kouyate and Poyet. I'm loathed to admit it but credit where credit's due... That all depends on how much they're paying them. Past form has them in the QPR category for overpaying on wages...
saint_ed Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Yet another Championship standard signing for Burnley. This time its George Boyd.
S-Clarke Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Yet another Championship standard signing for Burnley. This time its George Boyd. For £3.5m. He wasn't even a first team player at Hull.
Saint Pete Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Micah Richards off to Fiorentina, according to BBC.
SuperSAINT Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Crystal Palace appear to be on the verge of smashing their club transfer record. Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol brings us the news that James McArthur has arrived at the club's training ground ahead of a switch from Wigan Athletic. #CorkAlternative

What are Burnley up to. surely by now everyone has worked out that Boyd, although a decent player, just simply is not good enough for the prem?
SuperSAINT Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Jeremy Wilson @JWTelegraph Redknapp still hoping to add Sandro, Defoe and Kranjcar to Diarra signing. No longer interested in Lennon. Wright-Phillips can leave #QPR
Chez Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Sandro & Diarra would give them quite a nice solid midfield. Diarra was a quality player when he left the skates for Madrid. Not seen him since then. Wonder if he still is as good.

Mallagroth Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Regarding the Manchester United Falcao creaming going on all day: One thing no one seems to be asking is why Monaco are willing to let Falcao go? As i understand it they bought him for 50M last season and then in January he had a horrific knee injury and had an operation and has been out since then even missing the world cup. I think the question that needs to be asked is are Man utd panicking and spending a huge part of their wage bill on a crocked forward which is not in the positions that desperately need strengthening...

Financially Monaco went a bit too crazy, they need to reign it in. Hence the sale of Rodriguez too.

They can't afford him any longer. Got hurt by the fee they have to pay to the league for paying no tax I believe. And also didn't the owner get divorced or something and have to pay out a ridiculous amount of money. (I might have dreamt that?)
Chez Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Holtby going to Hamburg (possibly) according to Spurs fan I spoke to today.

Dan Johnson Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Rojo to United still not been ratified by the Premier League & Man Utd having major issues with the 3rd party ownership. Looks like we did well to avoid this one, I know allot were giving the board stick for not getting this over the line quick enough! I wonder how those would have reacted had we signed him but couldn't register him.

Dan Johnson Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Does it have to be ratified by 11pm tonight for him to be eligible to play? I'm not sure to be honest, I would have thought so. They own his registration but cant get it ratified, it's not something the premier league can help with either according to the SSN Radio reports
Feyenoord1908 Posted 1 September, 2014 Posted 1 September, 2014 Blind will get a great signing for them. Plays left back, defensive midfield or centre-back. Relative bargain at £14m. Blind is a very average player. Don't let 1 pass at the World Cup fool ya. United have massively overpaid for a player who is as quick as a snail. He is nowhere in the Premier League tempo.
