KelvinsRightGlove Posted 7 July, 2014 Share Posted 7 July, 2014 A friend posted this on my fb and it has really got me scratching my head. Basically, your favourite run of 3 consecutive songs off one album. Compilations/greatest hits etc are not allowed Really struggled myself. Some frontrunners for me: Funeral: Wake Up -> Haiti -> Rebellion Discovery: One More Time -> Aerodynamic -> Digital Love The Stone Roses: I Wanna Be Adored -> She Bangs The Drums -> Waterfall or even This Is The One -> I Am The Resurrection -> Fools Gold Humbug: Cornerstone -> Dance Little Liar -> Pretty Visitors Different Class: Sorted for E's & Whizz -> F.E.E.L.I.N.G.C.AL.L.E.D.L.O.V.E. -> Underwear Doolittle: Wave of Mutilation -> I Bleed -> Here Comes Your Man Countless others too. I just can't bloody choose.

pap Posted 7 July, 2014 Share Posted 7 July, 2014 This is either a cheat or the most deserving entry on here. Extreme - Rise 'n Shine - Am I ever going to change? - Who cares? It's a cheat because it's purpose built as a 3 song run, the last part of their III Sides to Every Story. It's also the best thing they ever did. It's a cheat because it's purpose built as a 3 song run, the last part of their III Sides to Every Story. It's also the best thing they ever did. Just been offered a ticket to see them tonight. I sadly can't make it. I'm not sure if it is a cheat. I'm guessing no, as it is meant to be a run of tracks. There is plenty of mention of the individual tracks from the Abbey Road Medley on the original Reddit thread, so can't see why this would not make it. pap Posted 8 July, 2014 Share Posted 8 July, 2014 Operation mind crime is a bloody fantastic album ! One of the best rock albums of the 1980s. Think it might have been my first concept album too. I'm not a huge fan of Extreme in general. They came across like a "pop man"'s Faith No More when they first landed, got even more dubious when they started unleashing syrupy ballads unto this world. However, that whole album is very good. When The Sun Goes Down From The Ritz To The Rubble A Certain Romance Fireside Why Do Only Call Me When You're High Snap Out Of It I'm still not a great lover of AM (the album) Papster. I did include an Arctics run from Humbug though. Your other suggestion is good though. Did you see this when it was on? 3 parts on Youtube. I did not! Cheers for sharing will give it a watch later. Was very lucky to have a chat with him at a charity show in Harrow years ago (organised by Kate Nash no less). Was a really good guy. Amazing how he has managed to carry on after his ill health. Billy Bragg also played, was lucky to chat to him too. I don't agree with him on a lot of things, but it's hard to not love the guys passion. Great songwriter too. Saint137 Posted 23 July, 2014 Share Posted 23 July, 2014 Draft Morning/Wasn't Born to Follow/Get to You (The Byrds, Notorious Byrd Brothers) - helped because it is actually a run. The quintessential essence of 60s hippiedom replete with crazy phased stereo effects After the Gold Rush/Only Love Can Break Your Heart/Southern Man (Neil Young, After the Gold Rush)

TheCholulaKid Posted 9 August, 2014 Share Posted 9 August, 2014 The Stone Roses: This Is The One -> I Am The Resurrection -> Fools Gold A small piece of pedantry - this run of songs doesn't exist on the original album release. If Fool's Gold must be included then it should the 12 inch version, IMO. I'll go for: Loose Fit/Dennis and Lois/Bob's Yer Uncle Little Fluffy Clouds/Earth (Gaia)/Supernova at the End of the Universe
