Big Vic and Osvaldo to destroy the shi*t out of Adam Lallana opening game of the season.

After Osvaldo does that- he leaves.

Would be delighted if Osvaldo nuts him.

He's a prize c**t. Clattenburg was right.

f**k him. Hope he gets splinters from the bench.

That sounds suspiciously like going on strike, the most reprehensible action available for millionaire footballers who decide they do not wish to honour their contracts.

Bear?

Have you been possessed by the spirit of someone with common sense, grammar and self-indignant righteousness?

And worryingly, I completely agree with you.

Poor form Adam. Poor form.

Stop using that ouijabear, Bear.

Quote: "I think a lot of the vitriol is because we are genuinely gutted to lose him. He is a good player and we'd be a better team if he stayed. Things change quickly in football and if he doesn't want to fulfil his destiny as club legend that's fine. Let's show a bit of class ourselves and not act like dumped teenagers.

Having met him I don't think he is up his own arse, I'd actually say he is quite shy and insular if anything, doesn't enjoy the limelight ala Scholes.

So good luck Adam, thanks for the memories and I hope we pass Liverpool on the way down on our way to the Champions League.

I also note TheVMAN has been viewing the forum, if you feel owe this man anything for all the ITK snippets we have had in recent years, it would be nice to respect the fact that he is someone probably very close to Adam and can't be pleasant reading." Quote

Says something about his maturity that the only way he could handle it was by going on strike. I have not felt so bitter and angry about a player leaving since Kenwyn Jones. All this about loyalty through the difficult years means nothing. His ego has taken over.

If you hear some of the new Coaching Team talking there is still a strong culture of success at SFC and I am now beginning to get excited about the new season.

Time to draw a blue line me thinks.

What a prize tw*t. His actions have both reduced the fee we got for him after 14 years of loyalty to the bloke, and shown what an ungrateful, money grabbing bastard he is.

Thanks for nothing Adam, Clattenburg was right after all, you bellend.

Adam has driven me to this! Lucidity! Moral outrage! Grammar! I hope he's ashamed.

The rumours about him being a disruptive and a bad egg around the club for the last few months seem to have some substance now. Also the rumour that he agreed move to liverpool back in march would ring true as well based on what we have learned today.

I have no issue with a player wanting to better himself but his conduct has been appalling. I will certainly not give him a warm reception when he returns to SMS next season.

I hope when we play Liverpool, both home and away, there are big cheers when Lambert's name is read out and loud boos when Lallana is. Just to make it clear if he contacted himself with 50% of the respect Lambert showed most would probably have been fairly supportive of his decision to further his career.

Wonder if Sturridge will pass to him now or continue to take pot shots from 25 yards that end up in row 7. With him and the other England duds Gerrard and Johnson Liverpool are heading down rather than up. Gerrard was ****ing terrible in the World Cup and Sturridge missed at least 7 chances against Costa Rica. Club on the slide, like Lallana's career.

I wouldn't worry about this respect tweet.

What have we done that could be wrong to someone who is in the first year of a five year contract, and who we didn't want to sell? If it's about giving the player assurances that we went back on, then that's beyond spurious and no one is naive to believe that anyway, and is just used as some bogus excuse to move.

I don’t begrudge him that move; he was fantastic last season and after 14 years at the club he deserves a bit more respect from the Saints fans.

Disappointed for sure and will hurt watching him play/score for Liverpool.

Good luck Adam. Let’s go and spend that money wisely.

Do I not like this:

AL: “Last season, deep down, I was thinking: hopefully one day I'll be able to play in that team. That dream is reality now.” #LallanaLFC

Wonder if this was before or after even the referees agreed he's now just another self important hyped up overpaid footballer.

Not really, no, it has not sunk in if I'm being honest. I'd like to thank everyone at Southampton for what they have done for me; I have been there for the best part of 14 years.

And that is the sole reference to us. There may be more later, but this is now leaving an incredibly bad taste in my mouth.

He can shove his fake gratitude and platitudes up his arse. Any 'letter' to fans from AL will be as hollow as all his badge kissing.

S-Clarke

He has not only P***** the club officials he also angered thousands of us saints fans

I got the distinct impression watching the awards that he came across as disinterested, I know he on the cafe of it he is a quite lad,

but he should have tried to show more enthusiasm at the awards ceremony , but then he probably felt guilty knowing he was moving to the scousers

I cannot bring myself to wish him welll, but equally I will not wish him bad luck

Im just sad

I put his 'speech' and emotions down to having the personality of a wet lettuce , but there you go.

I'm intrigued to know whether he submitted an official transfer request. Possibly part of the agreement for us to accept a lower offer?

I'd really hope so, it would be sickening if he received a loyalty bonus. I'd imagine Reed told him to submit a transfer request to waive this which is probably where the final tantrum came from. As I posted a few weeks ago, he's on a par with Kenwyne Jones now and we all know what kind of reception he gets from Saints fans. What I want to know is whether he produced his best ever form last season to earn the move. If so, that means he wasn't giving 100% in the second half of 2012/13 when there was thread on here with the consensus that Puncheon should have been selected ahead of him. I know he picked up that nasty injury v Reading in November 2012 that probably held him back a bit but I do wonder.

I do hope now that certain posters - and they know who they are - start giving the club a bit of a break. With MP and Lallana gone, that might be the two most rotten apples out of the barrel. This doesn't apply at all to either Rickie or Shaw, who were seemingly professional throughout the process of their moves.

Exactly. Lambert went about things the right way. Adam can feck off to be perfectly honest.

In part, he went about things the right things because he's headed for the scrapyard and is not a major asset -he didn't have to worry about forcing a move. Not saying he would have but the deal was a win-win for player and club in the way Lallana's was not.

I console myself that if we get Tadic as a replacement for Lallana, his stats are much better, as shown in this article:- http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014/06/30/le-southampton-closing-in-on-12m-lallana-replacement/

Lallana was incredible for Southampton last season, but Saints fans can be excited by the prospect of his potential replacement as Tadic was more of a threat in and around goal than the Liverpool-bound man.

The Twente midfielder created more chances per game and had more shots as well as successful passes than Lallana and finished the season with seven more goals and eight more assists despite playing five games less.

I hope that Lallana gets a warm reception from us when he comes down here next. A very, very warm reception; one that has his ears burning and leaves him in no doubt that he has lost any respect that he had built up with us over many years. If he or any of his mates read this forum, perhaps he ought to know that when we chanted that Adam Lallana makes Messi looks sh*te, we were being ironic. He really doesn't.

With luck, Tadic or whoever else replaces him, will make Lallana look ****e, so that we end the season looking back and thinking how well we did getting shot of the greedy bastard and getting in a better player, at the same time shafting Liverpool for much more than he was worth.

I am totally disappointed and disillusioned with Lallana. Hero to utter and complete zero in my mind.

He might have helped to build the club over the last few years but he is certainly one other players who could well be instrumental in its rapid decline.

If Saints get relegated this season it will be because rats like him chose to abandon a ship THEY made sink! Why? Because the money was more ultimately far more important to him than loyalty to the club he professed to love and to want to serve out his remaining career with.

Let's hope RK has a plan !!

Good effing riddance you useless whinger. So we're no longer good enough for you? Well, you may be in a for a nasty surprise sonny jim when they put you on the bench. They won't tolerate blokes running around like a headless chicken for 60 mins before asking to be subbed 'cos your knackered. I blame the facial hair, seems to unbalance the mind.

You would be right if he hadn't proved to be a massive p***k over this. He must have really tried hard when we lost at home to Liverpool, seeing as the hairs stood up on the back of his neck as Suarez dived for the penalty.

He deserves, and will get dogs abuse next season at St.Mary's.

Disappointed with the whole saga to be honest. Sad to see Lambert, Shaw and now Adam go, regardless of the circumstances.

Trying not to dwell on the past now but look to the future and am hoping we start announcing a pile of decent replacements for our outgoing players.

Just hope that Super Ron can persuade Lovren and Schneiderlin to stay with us as I think they will be a bigger loss to the club than any of the players that have already left, except Guly of course!
