Saint Charlie Posted 28 June, 2014 Share Posted 28 June, 2014 Cortese left. Also players only tend to use the media when they want something. How many times does Jay Rod need to tell Sky his recovery is going well and Pochettino is the best Manager he has played for, as an example? Also at Intl tournaments the club has no control over either questions asked or answers given. At the club during the season everything is policed. Lallana wanted to leave, and has left Shaw wanted to leave, and has left Schneiderlin wants to leave, and he will leave, just give it time Lovren wants to leave, and he will leave, just give it time Ramirez wants to leave, and he will leave, just give it time Osvaldo is not wanted by SFC, wants to leave, no-one seems to want him Can anyone else see a trend here ?? SFC is such a great Club to be at, the Players have run out of "Application To Leave" forms But, I must not post anything negative about how SFC is being run eh ?? Does anyone know of ANY other Club who have had SIX of their First team wanting out at the same time Good job SFC is in safe hands

Does anyone know of ANY other Club who have had SIX of their First team wanting out at the same time Good job SFC is in safe hands the last paragraph is the worrying bit have to say ive never known it other than when teams are relegated than naturally every player who's any good wants out. You have to wonder what is going on at the club behind closed doors to start this mass exodus of players. Maybe what with Shaw leaving and most other players getting on a bit they feel its their last chance to dream of a top four finish and CL football

Not ambitious, and it would not meet the elevated expectations of many... yet it would set us up nicely for future progress under shrewd management. It would also ensure that all the damage done a decade ago will have been finally wiped out. Edited 29 June, 2014 by Colinjb

So can you give us an update on what you've done to not "accept" things at the club, and not be complicit? What have you done, this week? Presumably it isn't absolutely eff all, so what is it? Nothing wrong with that. IMHO it's a better option than whining about everything. It is what it is, and it's a whole lot better than being in L1 on -10 points. Webby Posted 29 June, 2014 Share Posted 29 June, 2014 I wonder if jrod and co would love poch as much if he actually had some strength and depth to the squad and actually had to drop some of them now and again? Coxford_lou Posted 29 June, 2014 Share Posted 29 June, 2014 I do find it odd (and this happened under Cortese too) how much freedom the players have to speak their mind to the press. Some of the things players have openly said seem worthy of a suspension or fine. I can't imagine that being acceptable within any normal corporation. Can you imagine?! The team pretty much picked itself. If they had earned a first team place through the majority of the season then I imagine they would still have the love. On the other hand if they felt they had given their best and played second fiddle I imagine they would be thinking he is blind, I am much better than X, see I would have made that tackle/pass/shot. Interesting that Franks Mantra when anything negative was suggested when Cortese was here was 'we don't know the FACTS' 'wait and see' 'only believe the positives until proven otherwise' 'glass half full' etc. yet now his dreams have been shattered and his pin up boy has gone he's screaming and demanding that people don't accept whatever it is that is going on, that some might believe doomsday is not upon us and we must know all the FACTs and anything else is trolling and anti board agendas. So come on Franco, what are all the facts pal? You must know, or else you'd be saying 'we don't know 'em' 'only believe the positives' Etc.. Polaroid Saint Posted 29 June, 2014 Share Posted 29 June, 2014 Rats leaving a sinking ship? Five Year Plan, or 'The Project', ended. All the main players are now gone: Pardew; Marcus; Adkins; Cortese; Pochettino; Lambert; Guly and soon Lallana. I guess, in any job, when it becomes clear an era is over a lot of people move on. In the real world it happens over several months and years until eventually the staff has completely turned over. In football, with its attachment to 'success' (tsk!) and limited transfer windows this process is accelerated. Now there is a new plan. It involves a steadying of the ship before plotting a new course. Let's see who's still on deck come Sept. Aha. still sent from my effing nexus 4, but I have found the setting now dammit. People need to 've patient before wringing their hands and flapping. Quite right, we must be patient ...... "Don't panic !!!! Don't panic !!!! " I mean, our first Prem League match is not until 16th August, thats a whole nine weeks away Plenty of time to get in the six (by then it will be six) Quality first team replacements, and that's just to address the Status Quo Plenty of time (hopefully) to introduce them to each other, ( ie first name terms preferably ) , and gel them together a a Team Yet, as you say, it is surprising what some people are thinking, especially when the Club had reasured the fans by saying that they wanted to keep all of our star players I knew exactly what they meant. I mean, I WANT a New house, car, loadsa money etc ........... but It Aint Gonna Happen Now, if Reed had said " we WILL keep etc etc , now that puts a different slant to it But, of course that's why his video interview was conducted by an employee of the Club, with pre agreed Questions so as not to stir up the Sh*t that was coming

Pochettino's " ambition " has suddenly led to a mass panic evacuation. He thought he was exchanging the Isle of Wight ferry for the QE2....he should remember that the Titanic got into deeper waters before she met with disaster. angelman Posted 30 June, 2014 Share Posted 30 June, 2014 The next time a player uses change of manager/chairman as an excuse, I'll scream. Changing club means a new manager (except if going to Spuds), the same as if staying with RK. Those wanting to leave haven't even spoken to the new manager so how do they know the new plan? But no point wasting time on this spurious reason as we all know what its really about. Never heard before of players deciding their futures because of the Chairman. He might have authorized their signing, but in the scheme of "them and us", he firmly is in the "them" camp
