shurlock Posted 22 June, 2014 Share Posted 22 June, 2014 Haha, now come the derogatory 'must be a girl' comments. Your predictability is outweighed only by your stupidity. Golden Balls Posted 22 June, 2014 Share Posted 22 June, 2014 What depressingly predictable responses. They're basically asking for it, right?! How a girl dresses means nothing, that still does not mean they are prime targets for anything. Yes, it is these attitudes that lead to it. Pull your head out the sand, and look up the Isla Vista cases. Read the blokes manifesto, or at least a summary of it. I guarantee you, these actions supported by responses such as 'go on lad' and oh 'she's a tart/slag, she's asking for it' are what lead men to believe that women owe them affection/love/adoration and ultimately sex. GB you clearly have no respect for women whatsoever. You'd make a good journalist twisting words like that. So because I have no respect, and voice my disrespect for a woman that leads on a rich 18 year old boys just so she can sell a story to the sun while she poses in hardly any clothes... I clearly have no respect for all women....despite saying the exact opposite? Ok. Go have a sit down.

Goatboy Posted 22 June, 2014 Share Posted 22 June, 2014 yep, you were probably alright before you found football not sure why the 'teenager seeks sex with girls' story needs much attention. Although a rich famous teenager really shouldn't be struggling, he needs to sort that out. And shouldn't he also realise that 'sexting' twitter pictures to a playboy 'hottie' would attract the attention of the media? You just look like a desperate teenage saddoe Luke. To me that demonstrates that is ok for a guy to ask a model for sex, but if she tells other people about she should be demonised. She should expect it in her job. I don't see why her being a model should mean she is any less deserving of respect to be honest. As I said, I'm not saying this makes Luke a bad person he's a young lad and probably got carried away. He'll probably learn from this being plastered all over the papers. I do however, find using terms such a tart, slag or bint (all used on this thread, not just by you) as pretty horrible. And it shows the difference it attitudes towards men and women, which I find unacceptable. All women will be harassed at some point by a man. Ignoring things like this, or encouraging it, or demonising the girl in the scenario in my opinion perpetuates the problem.

Harrasment shouldn't be tolerated whoever it is commoting the act and whoever the victim is. I was actually addressing Luke, as I said several times. I think he's going lad, acting inappropriately. I'm sure he will learn. We all know though, that the majority of harassment is by men on women.

He was doing whatever was being done in private. Causing no harm. She went and sold it to a newspaper just to get some cash and attention. You honestly don't see where I'm coming from? You're making out like she was getting harassed by Luke. Yet he's the star with the ability to give her the attention she craves. I use these terms as I believe she does not deserve any respect after her actions. Deal with it. If you don't think I respect women, that's your opinion. But my long term girlfriend will tell you differently. And one final point on the attitudes towards men and women. It works both ways. For instance if a woman grabs my arse, it's a bit of playful fun. If I grab a woman's arse, it's sexual assult. Whether you like it or not, attitudes towards different genders are different. Rightly or wrongly.

Rightly or wrongly. Wrongly for sure. It's sexual assault in both cases but men are more likely to laugh it off because they are in a position of power and do not often feel threatened by women who make advances. That is an immense privilege for us men and we ought to recognise it. Every woman you will ever meet has a story of a man who has made them uncomfortable, unwelcome or intimidated by an advance or unsolicited comment. It makes them so because men are a danger to women in a way that women aren't to men. Anyway, not sure this Sun story is really worth a thread like this, half way house between feminist discussion and excuse for a bunch of leery old men to reel off their favourite sexual jokes. I have had you down as female all along. I do wonder if people ever get laid these days s for a single man it must be impossible how to know how to approach a women without them feeling intimidated or having an accusation of sexual harassment thrown at them. Iam not suggesting any woman should be intimidated or feel threatened in any way but harmless banter from either camp seems to be now frowned upon. It is slowly dawning on men that what they see as 'harmless banter' can actually be quite threatening. Take a look at this, for example. It really is an eye opener. As for getting laid - not harassing anyone is a good start. How many times have you seen a creepy fella in a club actually go home with someone? I like being chatted up by funny guys with a sense of humour and harmless banter. I love talking about footie to random guys too. I'm not so keen on sleazy guys, or drunk guys that make a nuisance of themselves. Especially when they can't take rejection and get a bit nasty. It's kind of common sense really. On this forum, I'm also not that keen on the Nuns pictures or discussion about Kat's breasts (sorry Ohio!) but I feel like this is really a boys forum, and I wouldn't want to come across as ruining the fun, because I also think this place is very cool. The fact that we've just had a relatively sensible debate about feminism goes to show! Anyway, that's just my perspective.

Coxford_lou Posted 23 June, 2014 Share Posted 23 June, 2014 I think she's bloody self centred for doing so. As is the paper for reporting it. Because they're basically ****ting on someone else. But I don't have any issues with her sex life, and neither Luke's. GB, be critical of her, but tart/slut language is really ugly, destructive and gets thrown at women all the time for doing nothing wrong. It makes me cringe just writing it now even though it's not aimed at me. Generally best avoided if you care about the well being of half the population. Golden Balls Posted 23 June, 2014 Share Posted 23 June, 2014 GB, be critical of her, but tart/slut language is really ugly, destructive and gets thrown at women all the time for doing nothing wrong. Agreed. It shouldn't be banded around at people who have done nothing wrong. But in my opinion she's done something deserving of the insults. Not for the first time apparently. So why so bad to voice that? If I act like a chauvinistic *****, I would expect someone to call me that. Not worry about what others might think of the term being directed at somebody who deserves it. It's hardly like I'm directing it at women in general. I'm not saying it in a situation like Princess Kate getting papped sunbathing topless in her own time. I'm directing it towards a clear gold digger who uses sex like a weapon at the expense of others and their families. It's women like her that give women a bad name. I'm genuinely surprised more don't share that opinion.
ART Posted 23 June, 2014 Share Posted 23 June, 2014 I've thought a lot about the SUN article since it appeared. I wondered whether one of his team mates was behind the tweets having got access to Luke's phone. Just the type of things older players would do to the youngest player in the squad. I read somewhere he was sharing a room with Jack Wiltshire. Then again, Maybe his head has got completely turned by all this Man U transfer and how much they intend to pay him. These were Playboy Girls, and they were to be found in California. When I consider this I can see only one explanation...............he's decided to go for the big bucks, take a leaf out of the book of former Academy player, who's now a millionaire. Luke's surely decided to go for gold http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/4042622.From_a_Saint_to_a_porn_star___The_full_story/

I know it must be difficult when a drunk or sleazy bloke makes advances, men do loathe seeing that as well, we have all seen it happen. Invariably though the women rejecting him makes him look a tit and they slink off. I take on board what you say about the nuns, but do you like to see half naked men posted on the advertising hoardings and have a little giggle about it with your mates? Sex sells and the reason for that is that most of us think about it.Although I do wonder if some on here are beyond procreation
