according to Neil ' don't let the truth get in the way of a story' Ashton in the mail, SRL was on £55k a week when at Saints!!

Can this be true?

what Beef does Ashton have with us , why mention it in a story about England performance in WC?

A lot of the story's that have attempted to destabilise us have originated from him.

That's a lot of dollar for a club like Saints to be paying. I would have thought he was on 35-40

Why. Ossie was/Is on more than that apparently.

We had a wage bill of £47m in 2012/13 (last available set of accounts), a number of players signed new deals in 2013 so some of our top players are going to be on £50,000+ p/w in 2013/14 in order to match up with that total wage bill.

Problem with the Mail is, when they make up figures, they tend to forget what they have published before, so therefore look complete ****s. Note the author of this piece, but then Ashton is one of the biggest ****s out there in sport journalism. Sort of sums up his approach to his job and the unprofessionalism that he excels in.

Didn't Lambert have a 'match highest earner' clause in his contract which was allegedly one of the reasons we let him go. Maybe his money went up when we signed Osvaldo.
