Saint Charlie Posted 17 June, 2014 Share Posted 17 June, 2014 Four years is a big show of faith. Would imagine he is ahead of Isgrove now in the pecking order.

Tom28 Posted 17 June, 2014 Share Posted 17 June, 2014 This lad is quality. I've seen him play a few times (some 2 or 3 years ago, twice last season) and each time he's been seriously impressive. He's suffered with a serious injury that kept him out for a very long time but he was back playing the majority of last season. Great left foot, strong, good balance and skillful; I genuinely believe this lad will be a big star and will be a regular in the first team match day squad next season. angelman Posted 17 June, 2014 Share Posted 17 June, 2014 Bearsy, if you watched the clip, he compares himself most to Mezit Ozil (so does that mean we can flog him to Arsenal for £42m?)
Toon Saint Posted 17 June, 2014 Share Posted 17 June, 2014 Good news. Reminds me of Chambers and JWP with how well-spoken and composed he is at such a young age. His hair is also excellent.

Dan Johnson Posted 17 June, 2014 Share Posted 17 June, 2014 Refreshingly articulate young man, speaks very well & from that interview alone comes across as very level headed. The picture with his proud parents either side sums this football club up. #thesouthamptonway
Tom28 Posted 17 June, 2014 Share Posted 17 June, 2014 Is he ready to take Lallana's role if he leaves though... could save us a lot of spondoolies Not immediately no. But quite possibly he could spend next season integrating with the first team, coming off the bench to replace Lallana, with a view to giving Lallana what he wants at the end of next season and letting him go to a Champions League club, and McQueen stepping into his shoes in the 2015/16 season. Saint_clark Posted 17 June, 2014 Share Posted 17 June, 2014 So, what kind of player is he? I thought he played sort of attacking midfield but IIRC he's tall as f*ck so could be converted to a striker maybe?

Charlie Wayman Posted 18 June, 2014 Share Posted 18 June, 2014 Strange decision especially with new management in place and Reed's assertion that they would be involved in all player matters - so why not this one? Methinks something is not fully joined up here still or somebody speaky with forked tongue? Good luck to the lad anyway and it's up to him now to justify the confidence placed in him but these long contracts are becoming a bit farcical in the light of Shaw's likely defection unless we get £10m for every year of a contract. If so, we can get £40m for McQueen right now from the Scousers. Money in the bank!

The Scousers haven't got 40 mil they haven't even got 25 mil to pay for Llallana straight up and want installment and add on bonus's Its like the 80's when Liverpool as a city was bankrupt and they nicked the things they wanted from other towns.
