alpine_saint Posted 13 June, 2014 Share Posted 13 June, 2014 How about Matt Lawton ? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/worldcup2014/article-2657020/Liverpool-target-Dejan-Lovren-blasts-World-Cup-referee-Brazil-trophy-penalty-decision-Croatia-defeat.html Managed to write this article about Dejan and the only club he mentioned in association with him was Liverpool. The Tabloids have plunged to new depths, imo...

S-Clarke Posted 13 June, 2014 Share Posted 13 June, 2014 Classic Alpine, jumping to conclusions without actually reading things fully. At least he admitted it though, I'd never have thought it.

mynameisthehulk Posted 13 June, 2014 Share Posted 13 June, 2014 Only poster who does it consistently every single window though. Yeah but it beats the usual lack of centre back signing that we have had from him since 2002...
saintmatt Posted 13 June, 2014 Share Posted 13 June, 2014 this is probably the first time in about five years there's been any cause for concern about saints' direction what alpine doesn't seem to realise is because he fretted, ****ed and moaned his way through back-to-back promotions and a surge up the premier league, his credibility when expressing any concern now is completely shot maybe one day he'll take a step back and admit he's a tad too negative on occasion. maybe he'll learn from that and look at changing his outlook going forward. maybe. BlakeySFC Posted 13 June, 2014 Share Posted 13 June, 2014 You've fallen into the Daily Fail's trap there Alpine. Writing shocking/misleading headlines has been their unique selling point since time began.

Agree and what's more: Seriously. Get a grip of yourself man FFS. So much of what you write is bed wetting par excellence. Your genre is negativity beyond the call of duty and finding a problem or difficulty wherever you can. Which is no great skill but don't pat herself on the back cos a stopped clock is always right twice a day...Season after season at this time of year you say the same ****ty things. Always downers always negative . Please **** off this site and stop ruining discussion of matters saintly with your incessant negative ****e . If it was just once or twice or thrice I'd get it. But ever since I been on this site the vast majority of what you write is ****ing depression ****. Please **** off or at least give it a rest you sad ****. Go and support Pompey or someone else. PLEASE.
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 13 June, 2014 Share Posted 13 June, 2014 You've fallen into the Daily Fail's trap there Alpine. Shockingly, they also have particularly high, revenue from ad sales on their site. #ClickBaitFools

So sad that so many people are taken in by such cynical, gutter press. Alpine is their quintessential target. Doesn't research things, won't look any further, first reaction is always anger, always scared of something, negative, exaggerates and most importantly, never learns. Exactly. FloridaMarlin Posted 14 June, 2014 Share Posted 14 June, 2014 No coincidence they are one of the most viewed internet news sites online. Shockingly, they also have particularly high, revenue from ad sales on their site. #ClickBaitFools They write their headlines with key words for SEO. For many reasons and not just football (crime, economy, welfare fraud, etc) people are more likely to search for stories with the keyword 'Liverpool' than 'Southampton'. Hatch Posted 14 June, 2014 Share Posted 14 June, 2014 The Tabloids have plunged to new depths, imo... this is true, The Sun Hillsborough coverage, journos hacking dead childrens phones, all this pales into insignificance when they dont mention what team a footballer plays for. alpine_saint Posted 14 June, 2014 Author Share Posted 14 June, 2014 Hillarious responses. I made a mistake out of anger and beer, I apologise for it, but the clappy bandwagon-jumpers still extract their pound of flesh. And I'm the one who is supposed to have the problem.. Ohio Saint Posted 14 June, 2014 Share Posted 14 June, 2014 Hillarious responses. I made a mistake out of anger and beer, I apologise for it, but the clappy bandwagon-jumpers still extract their pound of flesh. And I'm the one who is supposed to have the problem.. If I stood in a pub getting drunk and angry then peed on my own shoes, (Yes, this is an analogy) I would expect to take a ribbing. I would not be pointing the finger back at others claiming that THEY have the problem.
