Noodles34 Posted 12 June, 2014 Posted 12 June, 2014 Will kick it off with Croatia's Olic. Plays for Wolsburg, so definitely a realistic target but he is 34!
EBS1980 Posted 12 June, 2014 Posted 12 June, 2014 Hasn't he just signed for them since the end of the season? Stoke were after him.
Pastor Patrón Posted 12 June, 2014 Posted 12 June, 2014 How about Lambert from Liverpool? hue hue hue
Ewell Posted 12 June, 2014 Posted 12 June, 2014 Number 4 for Croatia Peresic I think he plays for Wolfsberg. A great Lallana replacement for the right hand side.
TwoPints Posted 12 June, 2014 Posted 12 June, 2014 After about 30 minutes I said that we should sign Olic... then I found out his age. Time for a rethink.
Noodles34 Posted 12 June, 2014 Author Posted 12 June, 2014 That Neymar looks decent Was waiting for that one mate! Too classy to do,it myself though
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 12 June, 2014 Posted 12 June, 2014 Sime Vrsaljko was excellent and is excellent at left or right back. At Genoa I believe and only 22.
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 12 June, 2014 Posted 12 June, 2014 That Neymar looks decent He looked pretty poor tonight actually. Now Oscar, that is a player.
Wes Tender Posted 12 June, 2014 Posted 12 June, 2014 Bernard Anício Caldeira Duarte looked pretty decent when he came on.
Goatboy Posted 12 June, 2014 Posted 12 June, 2014 Bernard Anício Caldeira Duarte looked pretty decent when he came on. Those four would be an excellent window.
Saint Charlie Posted 12 June, 2014 Posted 12 June, 2014 Sime Vrsaljko was excellent and is excellent at left or right back. At Genoa I believe and only 22. Struggled offensively tonight. Always wanted to turn back to his right foot and slowed a lot of their moves down.
saints1988 Posted 12 June, 2014 Posted 12 June, 2014 Sime Vrsaljko was excellent and is excellent at left or right back. At Genoa I believe and only 22. This he was solid
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 12 June, 2014 Posted 12 June, 2014 Struggled offensively tonight. Always wanted to turn back to his right foot and slowed a lot of their moves down. It's difficult to get forward when you have Olic in front of you offering no protection and Oscar wide on the right.
pangy Posted 12 June, 2014 Posted 12 June, 2014 He looked pretty poor tonight actually. Now Oscar, that is a player. Either one will do
Saint Charlie Posted 12 June, 2014 Posted 12 June, 2014 It's difficult to get forward when you have Olic in front of you offering no protection and Oscar wide on the right. Probably more comfortable on the right, we are well stocked there.
Ewell Posted 13 June, 2014 Posted 13 June, 2014 Number 4 for Croatia Peresic I think he plays for Wolfsberg. A great Lallana replacement for the right hand side. This lad please. He was Croatia's most dangerous player. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivan_Perišić
Bearsy Posted 13 June, 2014 Posted 13 June, 2014 This lad please. He was Croatia's most dangerous player. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivan_Perišić yeah i liked him a lot but i read Wolfsburg is v.money & prob would not be easily tempted to sell
Beckenham Saint Posted 13 June, 2014 Posted 13 June, 2014 Bernard would be a great signing. He's looking for a move as well, and has pretty good stats for a winger - 40 goals in just under 150 games. (I am judging my assessment that he'd be a great signing purely because I signed him on FIFA last year and he was very good!) Not sure why we would want Olic. Had a good first 20 minutes but looked to tire quickly and was relentless in turning into trouble. Too many unnecessary skills that didn't pay off and I think he's too old for us to be interested.
SaintRichmond Posted 13 June, 2014 Posted 13 June, 2014 Players we should sign from the W.C ?? (A) Make a selection from all the First lot of Group matches (B) Delete any that are playing for, or want to play for a Club who are in the Champions League © Light cigarette with the bit of paper

I like Bernard too, just think he'd get bullied in the prem, did you see when he tried to deliberately foul a croatian player when they went on the counter attack? Then again, I'd have thought the same about Oscar and he hasn't done too badly at Chelsea!

Mattio Posted 13 June, 2014 Posted 13 June, 2014 That Croatia keeper looks like a good replacement for Tommy Forecast
SaintRichmond Posted 13 June, 2014 Posted 13 June, 2014 That Croatia keeper looks like a good replacement for Tommy Forecast Stevie Wonder would be better than either of them
Beckenham Saint Posted 13 June, 2014 Posted 13 June, 2014 I like Bernard too, just think he'd get bullied in the prem, did you see when he tried to deliberately foul a croatian player when they went on the counter attack? Then again, I'd have thought the same about Oscar and he hasn't done too badly at Chelsea! I must admit by the time he came on a was quite a few beers down, so don't remember that but would like to see it! haha If we had a player like Bernard, I think a lot of the guys on here would consider more his price tag than his actual performances! He'll want Champions League Well we'd better get a good manager and keep our best players then!
Badger Posted 13 June, 2014 Posted 13 June, 2014 That Croatia keeper looks like a good replacement for Tommy Forecast We were linked with him c 2001/2 or before we signed Niemi. We opted for Niemi, and got it right.
Convict Colony Posted 13 June, 2014 Posted 13 June, 2014 I've yet to be able to watch any football as I spent the full 90mins looking out for the crowd last night. I think we should import some fans. and I am hoping for big things when argentina play
Leicestersaint Posted 13 June, 2014 Posted 13 June, 2014 Neymar - right age and likely to get better.
doggface Posted 13 June, 2014 Posted 13 June, 2014 We were linked with him c 2001/2 or before we signed Niemi. We opted for Niemi, and got it right. He was actually on trial I believe
Noodles34 Posted 13 June, 2014 Author Posted 13 June, 2014 He was actually on trial I believe did he turn up with Drogba?
Beckenham Saint Posted 13 June, 2014 Posted 13 June, 2014 Would love to see us try and pinch a few of these Mexican players - lots of good players in the squad, Peralta, Moreno, Vázquez, Peña, Herrera and then the obvious ones like Hernandez, Marquez and Dos Santos. Only problem with some of them is that they're unproven outside of Mexico (not a league I can say I follow closely....)
Wiggles31 Posted 13 June, 2014 Posted 13 June, 2014 Dos Santos for Mexico looks decent. 11 goals and 8 assists for Villareal in 32 apps.
SuperMikey Posted 13 June, 2014 Posted 13 June, 2014 Taters spent a good chunk of time talking about Dos Santos' attitude and how he hasn't fitted in at any clubs apart from Villarreal. I'd give him a miss tbh. Hector Moreno wouldn't be a bad shout for CB though - left footed as well so we could fit Dejan onto his preferred side.
studentsaint Posted 13 June, 2014 Posted 13 June, 2014 Lukaku rejects west ham and could be set for wolfburg! Let's get serious about euro football!
Brave Sir Robin Posted 13 June, 2014 Posted 13 June, 2014 Raheem Sterling, Daniel Sturridge & Jordan Henderson.
Cabrone Posted 13 June, 2014 Posted 13 June, 2014 Olic is more of a relic, way too old for our youth focus.
SuperSAINT Posted 13 June, 2014 Posted 13 June, 2014 Wonder if we might look at Lens if Koeman comes in Everton sniffing around him apparently
VectisSaint Posted 13 June, 2014 Posted 13 June, 2014 The whole of the Dutch side ? 3 of the back 5 play for Feyenoord, perhaps Ronnie might think about that.
Secret Site Agent Posted 13 June, 2014 Posted 13 June, 2014 Bernard Anício Caldeira Duarte looked pretty decent when he came on. Nah. By the time Jay Rod yelled, ' Bernard Anício Caldeira Duarte, pass to me,' he would have overun the goal and be in the stands.
