miserableoldgit Posted 15 June, 2014 Posted 15 June, 2014 How long before someone calls them the chuckle brothers? Oh. I give it around two weeks.....and I bet I could name which posters would use it.....
badgerx16 Posted 15 June, 2014 Posted 15 June, 2014 @JWTelegraph: Koeman back today from holiday in Turkey and planning to bring his brother, Edwin, as assistant as well as fitness coach Jan Kluitenburg So that's Ronald, Erwin, AND Edwin ?
shurlock Posted 15 June, 2014 Posted 15 June, 2014 Just received this from a Dutch friend: "Congratulations with Ronald Koeman. He did really well at Feyenoord. Hopefully he can do the same at Southampton. Rumours are that he is going to take our striker , Graziano Pelle with him. Also a great move. This Italian scored about 50 goals the last 2 weeks, very popular at Feyenoord. . A good bloke, sometimes a bit too full of himself, but when you score nobody bothers about that. When used well, he will do well over there. I’ll be watching Southamptom next season." Seen Feyenoord and Pelle a few times but wonder how far they press as aggressively as us. Worth asking your dutch friend - really don't want to see that intensity or part of the game diluted.
Badger Posted 15 June, 2014 Posted 15 June, 2014 @JWTelegraph: Ronald Koeman to #saintsfc now imminent. There was a formal offer Friday and contract now with lawyers... @JWTelegraph: Koeman back today from holiday in Turkey and planning to bring his brother, Edwin, as assistant as well as fitness coach Jan Kluitenburg Read this on Kluitenburg : Especially in the beginning of the season has ended, there was some criticism Kluitenberg. So that he had found followers selection train too hard, causing Feyenoord not picked up from the first three league matches one point. Poor translation from :http://www.rijnmond.nl/sport/07-05-2014/feyenoord-niet-verder-met-jan-kluitenberg
beatlesaint Posted 15 June, 2014 Posted 15 June, 2014 Especially in the beginning of the season has ended, there was some criticism Kluitenberg. So that he had found followers selection train too hard, causing Feyenoord not picked up from the first three league matches one point. Glad we cleared that one up then WTF ?
Colinjb Posted 15 June, 2014 Posted 15 June, 2014 Especially in the beginning of the season has ended, there was some criticism Kluitenberg. So that he had found followers selection train too hard, causing Feyenoord not picked up from the first three league matches one point. Glad we cleared that one up then WTF ? I read that as he trained the players too hard, leaving them tired for their first three games of the season, which they lost.

krissyboy31 Posted 15 June, 2014 Posted 15 June, 2014 Just appoint the Koemans quick. I'm fed up of reading Paper Talk that Steve Bruce is our intended. Somebody that the press thinks credible keeps feeding them this sh!t.

moonraker Posted 15 June, 2014 Posted 15 June, 2014 This is an exciting appointment, as disappointed as I was with MoPo's departure it seems we are not reverting to a journeyman manager. I also feel that RK is coming for the right reasons it is not a stepping stone he has been around to long for that. The futures bright the future red and white.
sandwichsaint Posted 15 June, 2014 Posted 15 June, 2014 Will be interesting to see if they have any input into our new kit. Could see us getting the sash back. Sash good, Dan Seaborne HeadingHats less so.
david in sweden Posted 15 June, 2014 Posted 15 June, 2014 Will be interesting to see if they have any input into our new kit. Could see us getting the sash back. Let me guess......I bet they have parking privileges for their spacecraft in the car park at SMS.
jasonb Posted 15 June, 2014 Posted 15 June, 2014 Nobody else think we're being played by RK? Contract formerly offered on Friday. He takes off to Turkey for the weekend to mull it over. Or maybe he's gone to see what Galatasary are offering?? We've now done a bit of leaking ourselves to push for an answer.. Just me then :-)
Horley CTFC Saint Posted 15 June, 2014 Posted 15 June, 2014 Will be interesting to see if they have any input into our new kit. Could see us getting the sash back. Crikey don't tell me we've got to replace Big Vic and Clyne now too!

Whitey Grandad Posted 15 June, 2014 Posted 15 June, 2014 With all the changes to personnel and playing system I expect this will be a season of reconstruction.
Dr Who? Posted 15 June, 2014 Posted 15 June, 2014 He is from a nation that I am fond of. I have Netherlands blood... It is in the surname. I seem to end up back in the Netherlands for one reason or another and was close to moving there in 1991. Went there twice with school and have worked for 2 companies with a head office there. One of them I had to go out to once a month. Went on my stage do there and since being with my wife discovered that she used to go to euro camp a lot with her family do duinrell and yes you guessed in the Netherlands and have ended up back there 3 times. Keep a close eye on the international team and have a soft spot for Ajax who I have been lucky to see twice. It is a country I would love to live in! Very happy and the right style of football for us!

Miltonaggro Posted 15 June, 2014 Posted 15 June, 2014 You are in fact the last time lord from the planet Gallifrey and your most deadly and feared enemies are the Daleks ! Led by their enduring cyborg leader, Davros Hoddle...
InvictaSaint Posted 15 June, 2014 Posted 15 June, 2014 Good sign - Ronald and Erwin Koeman are flying into Heathrow tomorrow morning from Amsterdam. Am I allowed to know how you know this?
Colinjb Posted 15 June, 2014 Posted 15 June, 2014 Good sign - Ronald and Erwin Koeman are flying into Heathrow tomorrow morning from Amsterdam. Which contradicts a post from earlier which said that Ronald flew in today.
Colinjb Posted 15 June, 2014 Posted 15 June, 2014 Good Lord, how many Koeman's are there? They are Legion.
buctootim Posted 15 June, 2014 Posted 15 June, 2014 Which contradicts a post from earlier which said that Ronald flew in today. Not really, its only an hours flight. Some people even commute it.
FloridaMarlin Posted 15 June, 2014 Posted 15 June, 2014 I haven't got any Dutch blood. But I once met a Dutch girl in a pub wearing inflatable shoes. I asked her for a date and she said 'yes', but she didn't turn up the next day. When i tried to get hold of her I was told she had popped her clogs. Coat? I'm OK, thanks, I'm wearing a thick jumper.
SaintRobbie Posted 15 June, 2014 Posted 15 June, 2014 The man from Del Monte says yes... And so do the Koeman brothers and they're the biggest Orangemen of them all.
