Bothwell ;)

Jesus ... I used to work in Bothwell St. Then again, that was a wee while back so I guess I'd have had more chance of bumping into you in Boscombe back then? ;)

you're misunderstanding him, when he said Bothwell he means he lives in both Hampden and Camden well!

Kind of find it interesting that no other clubs seemed to have gone for him, especially the bigger ones. His record in Holland has been decent (except AZ) but outside of there has been a bit dodgy.

no other club went for MoPo until we took the punt on him!

Koeman is a great name in the footballing fraternity.

For Southampton To have got him is a huge achievement.

This shouldn't be be underestimated.

It's on par with signing keegan again..almost.

He beat Yakin to the post.

The proof of course will be how many players respond and want to stay, then how many and who he brings in.

BBC gossip page so it must be true

Plenty of links and crucially nothing to say it isn't, which means a whole bunch of jounos are desperately trying to tie down (or destroy) the story right now.

Yay we've got Ron manager....

"Oh, those Brazilians, you know? Circa 1970? Broke the mould. Theory out the window. Free expression of football. Uncategorisable. Is that a word? It is now! You know? Far cry from small boys in the park, jumpers for goalposts. Rush goalie. Two at the back, three in the middle, four up front, one's gone home for his tea. Beans on toast? Possibly, don't quote me on that. Marvellous."

I'm not sure I'll be able to live the with the disappointment of it not being Ron now

Anybody else playing a video in their mind of us beating Spurs and Liverpool and singing "you've bought our old ****" .... no just me then

Dodgy ground there, we could follow it up with '2 Little Boys' and finish off with the theme tune from Jim'll Fix It.

This.... I think that Lallana and Shaw's hearts are already elesewhere but hopefully any other waivering players can be 'sold' the new project and be persuaded to stay and move forward with the club. It will be tough to get players to want to stay who are offered a move to a champions league club and offered a substantial pay rise.

It's actually easy to get them to stay. They are under contract.

Maybe they didn't get a chance.

We hired him on Sunday (or Monday whatever)

And our hearts stood still

Da doo ron-ron-ron, Da doo ron-ron

Someone told us he has a lot of skill

Da doo ron-ron-ron, Da doo ron-ron

Ohhh! Our hearts stood still.

Ron's gonna take higher and we know he will.

He's the manager of Southampton and will take us there

Da doo ron-ron-ron, Da doo ron-ron

Was just chatting to a feyonord fan and asked him a bit about Koeman;

tactical he is great. In his first year at Feyenoord we won all the big games because he was making smart tactical changes.

He wants to play attractive football, but if necessary he can make changes. End of this season Feyenoord played some difficult away games with 5 defenders to have more control.

At his last interview as coach of Feyenoord he said that he really wants to buy our striker Graziano Pelle at his new club.

All sounds good. If anyone would like me to ask anything else just ask.

Please tell us anything else! Anything. :)

Like the fact he can create tactical options, a MoPo failing for me. 5 defenders? Lovren going nowhere then!

Does he like a shmoke und a pancake. You know, a flapjack und a shigarette? No? Shigar und a waffle? No? Pipe und a crepe? No? Bong und a blintz?

No? Well, then there ish no pleashing him.

What's the liklihood of Koeman bringing a couple of the youngsters from Feyenoord with him, one of the CB's in particular ?

pelle is 6'4 apparently and scored and set up loads for feyonord last season apparently ( sound familiar?) although lost the captaincy due to his temper and reaction after being sent off ( sound familiar?)

Just asking about De Vrij Martins Indl and Caise now

Reportedly very similar to Lambert in the fact he wins headers, strikes a clean ball, holds it up but is also incredibly mobile. Puts the running in, Bit of pace and can get in behind. Sounds perfect.

Only downside being that he has never scored goals in a league of a standard near the PL and is nearly 29 so quite a risk at the reported £8-10m.

Ask who his back room team might be, seeing as Gio Van B is staying at Feyenoord.

Who has seen Pelle play? How good is he?

If we do sign him I hope we sign another striker. You can't pin all your hopes on 1 striker from a lesser league, need to hedge our bets a little. Pelle and Ings would be great business IMO. Selling Lambert and Osvaldo we could get both for a reasonable outlay you'd hope.

Would still love to see Afellay come in and prove his fitness though. All the ability to replace Lallana just needs games.

I would like to see him get De Vrij if he wants to poach some of his old players

http://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/calciomercato/feyenoords-de-vrij-scored-in-his-world-cup-debut-lazio/

According to Di Marzio, Feyenoord only want 9m euros for him.

De Vrij he thinks if he continues to improve could be one of the best in Europe in a few years. Says he might not be physical enough yet for the EPL. Thinks Claise to us would be a good move for him

He wasn't sure because didn't know too much about us. Said there are some good youngsters Koeman might like to bring, Depay, Klaassen, Boetius, Vilhena and Promes also have a good future and will attract attention.
