John Boy Saint Posted 6 June, 2014 Share Posted 6 June, 2014 At the end of every season most clubs send their players away with a set programme of what condition they expect them to return to pre season training in. In our case going on snippets that have come out about the finite details that we are supposed to apply to player condition through the season, now that Pochettino and his posse have left the building has the sports science department who monitor player condition gone with him, or is that a separate entity within SFC linked to Southampton University. You can imagine for some weak willed individuals with no Manager in place being tempted to slide off the rails a little. I know Adkins talked about players being given an MOT with the University support, it just seemed to become a bit more of a dark art under MP, or was that just the Media delving a little deeper into the key to our success last season and revealing the secrets. Matthew Le God Posted 6 June, 2014 Share Posted 6 June, 2014 (edited) All that left was Pochettino and his three coaches, the fitness and medical department will have set fitness schedules over the summer for the players. It really isn't an issue. You can imagine for some weak willed individuals with no Manager in place being tempted to slide off the rails a little. They'd have to be pretty daft to think there won't be a new manager in place for the first day of pre-season. Lallana's Left Peg Posted 6 June, 2014 Share Posted 6 June, 2014 The Sports Science and Medicine chaps are a separate entity to the First Team Coaching Staff and report to Les Reed. The only people that left with Pochettino were his immediate coaching team.
DuncanRG Posted 6 June, 2014 Share Posted 6 June, 2014 Besides, with a new manager coming in the players will be on top of their game to make sure they impress when they come back.

CB Saint Posted 13 June, 2014 Share Posted 13 June, 2014 Actually this is where the department head thing comes into its own. The reliance on just one man has been reduced massively
