Block34 Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 ...to go on holiday for 10 days or so, switch their phones off, stay off sites like these, pay no heed to rumours and that way sell nobody! In fact, they can stay at our place and I'll get the missus to monitor them (and give 'em the 'odd job' around the house to do, will give me a break anyway)
Colinjb Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 Change 'The Board' to 'SaintsWeb members' and I will agree with you. I would rather our board were allowed to work and put in some foundation in our coaching staff.
S-Clarke Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 Or they could be working their arses off to get in an experienced manager, along with his coaching staff, and working out a transfer strategy..
OldNick Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 Sell Al and LS then turn their phones off. Both are now damaged goods and we can invest. If the exodus stops with them then we can recover.
Block34 Posted 1 June, 2014 Author Posted 1 June, 2014 Random musing thread #42 Ahhh 42, the answer to everything!
kpturner Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 Definitely worth a new thread. I can see why you just didn't post it on one of the other many threads about our current situation.
alpine_saint Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 Agree with previous comments. They need to be working 24 hrs to get the right manager and coaching staff in, then they might be able to limit the damage to the playing staff. They can always remember how to use the word "no" or better still the words "F**k Off"
Dr Who? Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 The best thing they could do it put the club on the market and leave with a lot of pride of what they have achieved. IF they get rid of the core of out team, things are only going to turn sour and that would be a huge shame.
SaintRobbie Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 Best thing the Board can do? Genuinely? Carry on as they are. I forgive Lambert's exit, but this week they resisted Liverpool's attempt to blackmail us into giving away Lallana and Spurs said they weren't interested. Get Koeman and lets get on with hitting Europe next season!!!

Risky - for every Liebherr there is a Vincent Tan, a Randy Lerner, a Shahid Khan or a Tony Fernandes. I would rather the current board sorted out their PR (to dissuade other clubs from circling like vultures), quickly recruited a high calibre manager (in the next seven days) and ensured that they invest wisely in the squad.
Batman Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 best thing the board can do is appoint david Moyes IMO
S-Clarke Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 best thing the board can do is appoint david Moyes IMO Koeman or Moyes IMO, either of those, in these circumstances, would at least steady the ship and show a bit of ambition.
SaintRobbie Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 best thing the board can do is appoint david Moyes IMO And that.
RonManager Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 Locked in a room with Al Pinesaint for 24 hours. Kill or cure.
alpine_saint Posted 2 June, 2014 Posted 2 June, 2014 Locked in a room with Al Pinesaint for 24 hours. Kill or cure. Me, or them ?
Saint Fan CaM Posted 2 June, 2014 Posted 2 June, 2014 Best thing they can do is get Koeman on board pronto. The squad desperately needs a figurehead Manager to start moulding a new team spirit and strategy as soon as possible. Idle minds breeds contempt (or something like that).
Dellman Posted 2 June, 2014 Posted 2 June, 2014 The best thing the Board can do is call back the players friend NC
waggy Posted 2 June, 2014 Posted 2 June, 2014 Or they could be working their arses off to get in an experienced manager, along with his coaching staff, and working out a transfer strategy.. This

They can always remember how to use the word "no" or better still the words "F**k Off" Maybe they are doing this? ...crazy idea etc... As far as we know we have one player about to go. One who is now 32 yrs old. I'm not sure that constitutes an exodus yet. It will be good to look back when we start the season and see how this has all panned out. In the meantime we will be very lucky to get 2+2 even equalling 5 on this forum
Topcat Posted 2 June, 2014 Posted 2 June, 2014 Or they could be working their arses off to get in an experienced manager, along with his coaching staff, and working out a transfer strategy.. The longer this drags on the worse is the level of failure by Kreuger and Reed.
