terrasaint Posted 31 May, 2014 Posted 31 May, 2014 Renewed season tickets for myself and Daughter 2 days ago. Now having doubts about my own sanity in that decision. Does anyone know whether purchasers have a legal right to cancel say within 14 days. No such rights seem to be includes in Saints terms and conditions?
SaintRobbie Posted 31 May, 2014 Posted 31 May, 2014 Have to say I felt the same. But - as usual - I renewed. I guess next season the feelings of hope, optimism and dreams will be replaced by standard blind optimism and curiosity. Anyone know how many STs did renew?
KingdomCome Posted 31 May, 2014 Posted 31 May, 2014 You're thinking of distance selling regulations. The short answer is no, you can't cancel unless it's in the terms of the contract.
mikee Posted 31 May, 2014 Posted 31 May, 2014 If you took the finance option - like I did - then pretty sure you can cancel within 7 or 14 days - not that I will be doing that. All finance agreements have a cooling off period.

saintbob40 Posted 31 May, 2014 Posted 31 May, 2014 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misrepresentation_in_English_law I will give you that one for free...........
KingdomCome Posted 31 May, 2014 Posted 31 May, 2014 You're right. But there are exceptions within the regulation. Section 6 (2)(b)...I work dealing with claims for consumer contracts.
terrasaint Posted 31 May, 2014 Author Posted 31 May, 2014 Thanks for replies. Will see what happens in next few days.
Griffo Posted 31 May, 2014 Posted 31 May, 2014 Ridiculous. Did any of you moan and not buy a season when we were in League One with much worse players? Players on the pitch shouldn't affect any decision to renew or not and arguably I'd say you're not a proper fan if that's the case.

No but the price hadn't increased and the product wasn't inferior to what it was on purchasing it!

I did so regardless of what league we were in, who the manager was, or what players we bought or sold. I suppose I must be a bit of a mug. I am guessing you are not in the same camp?
sotonjoe Posted 31 May, 2014 Posted 31 May, 2014 You have brought access to 19 premier league games, and none of that access right has been changed YOU MASSIVE FANNY. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
St Chalet Posted 31 May, 2014 Posted 31 May, 2014 Do me a favour, cancel your season tickets and buy yourself a shiny new TV so you can watch The Champions League next season. If they won't refund you let me know how much you want for them and I'll see that some proper fans get use of them.
derry Posted 31 May, 2014 Posted 31 May, 2014 If Krueger now turns down any bids until we appoint a manager and then a decision is made to let AL and LS go for about £60m and keep the rest of the team, I think we could rectify the lack of pace up front and strengthen the side at the back and in goal and in the end be in a better place than last season with more depth. That doesn't mean I'm happy with the present apparent drift.
Georgie Posted 31 May, 2014 Posted 31 May, 2014 I'm feeling totally deflated about Saints at the moment and think we could be in for an extremely difficult season. While I think I've just wasted £630, I know once the season starts I will look forward to going each time, just like I have for the last 18 years no matter how the season was going.
terrasaint Posted 1 June, 2014 Author Posted 1 June, 2014 I asked a reasonable question but have come to the conclusion that is not possible on this forum. I have to question spending £1250 after some of the things that have happened. have been a saints supporter since 1966 so think I have a right of choice and I am a pensioner so money fairly tight and may rather go to games on a selective basis. Posters who don't know the answer to my original question should perhaps keep quiet. Would like to thank the ones who have answered positively though.

You can also choose to check your consumer and contractual rights through the appropriate channels, and reflect on how much you enjoy going to the football, or alternatively you can ask some football fans on a message board, in the midst of an hysterical reaction to the sale of their favourite football player!

We know the answer and you were told clearly ... you can't get a refund because the club sell a player. Do us a favour ... Get a grip of yourself and give the season tickets to a kids home or some other charitable organisation that would be grateful to receive them. You can spend your Saturdays alone so as to avoid spreading your fanny anywhere. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
cellone Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 Some of the rudest, most unnecessary, condescending uber fan post seen in ages.
Shroppie Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 If we get a top manager and make 4 exciting signings, I will be asking the club if I can offer an extra £100 or so on top of what I've paid. Only seems fair.
