All the stuff I'd seen before just had him as having been a hockey coach. To be fair I guess that every coach in every sport gets sacked on the odd occasion. What is it about this club and hockey - ice or field!? Seems to be unlucky. Was SMS supposed to be a hockey pitch once and then was cursed by witches or something when it went to football!? Sour Mash Posted 30 May, 2014 Share Posted 30 May, 2014 Judge him on the appointment of a new manager and the shape of the squad at the end of the summer transfer window. Countless random musing threads before those two things are meaningless. Exactly this. If we're looking a mess come the first game of the season, I'll happily judge him then. Steep learning curve for him to say the least, let's see how he reacts from here, long way to go yet.

So can we now say that our transfer dealings blow goats and our manager retention blows goats ? Been discussed before, according to the Ice Hockey experts he didn't have a very good team and his sacking was unlucky or something, there were people making excuses for him from day 1 (or 2). He's a motivator, not a doer.

He's a motivator, not a doer. Blimey - well he's now a doer and not a motivator! And a quick review of those message boards don't seem to indicate the fans were quite as strongly behind him as we were for MP or NA for example. Saint Benali Posted 30 May, 2014 Share Posted 30 May, 2014 As other people have said he is most likely the guy who is here just to be wheeled out and give a rousing speech when something negative happens. I expect the next one to be tomorrow.... I don't think he should be the one taking the flak though as it is KL and her 'advisors' that are making the decisions. He is just the shield. S-Clarke Posted 30 May, 2014 Share Posted 30 May, 2014 I feel that RK is the spokesman, that's all he's been appointed for. He's there to take the hits, he's there to take the flak, whilst the others run around in the background ripping everything up. I'm sad that we felt the need to appoint someone like him when we had John Williams knocking at our door. RK is sure a clown, but you also need to look at who is making the calls behind him. The entire place is a mess.

Saint Charlie Posted 30 May, 2014 Share Posted 30 May, 2014 What the F does Gareth Rogers do? He is the mystery man in all of it. Someone who knows Saints too, has seen both regimes and is CEO ie top dog yet gets no flak. Lots of questions should be fired his way, including whether he agrees with Hofsetter that the financial situation that he owned as CFO really is/was "difficult". kpturner Posted 30 May, 2014 Share Posted 30 May, 2014 Got no problem with him so far tbh. I will wait to see who we start the season with (manager and players) before chucking stones at either him or the board in general.

pimpin4rizeal Posted 31 May, 2014 Share Posted 31 May, 2014 Looks to have been brought in as nothing more as a spokesman, the guy sidesteps any real questions, keeps talking about les reed is in charge of this, so and so is in charge of that, it looks to me like he has just been employed by big fat kat to take all the crap while 5 years of work gets destroyed. Tbf i dont think this is Wreck-it-Ralphs fault hes obviously just fat kats puppet and if it had not have been him she would of got someone else to do same thing.
