What the **** is going on?

Can it be explained away by players being more ambitious than the club, or is it a deeper underlying problem, perhaps with the finances?

Or is it still just media hype?

If, as seems possible, we sell Lambert, Shaw, Lallana, Lovren and Schneiderlin, plus lose Pochettino then in your opinion is that a 'meltdown'?

PS - the posters that say nothing has officially happened yet re outgoing transfers, please see MP situation last two months - it's a matter of time.

If true then I can't really begrudge him the chance. Don't forget Cortese tried to force him out in January.

but then, rodriguez was not out for 6 months and osvaldo was not sent out of the club

if lambert is sold, we probably only have SG as our NO.1 striker until we try to replace what lambert brings. which would cost a fortune

The club is being liquidated. Isnt obvious ?

Ralfie has been brought in to string along the fans until the board and KL have squeezed as much money out of the club as they can, knowing full well the ground, Academy, training facilities and especially our PL spot can still be sold as a going concern.

This is the beginning, dude..........

Er..excuse me but didn't Cortese refuse to let him go in January?

Was that ever actually confirmed?

And anyway, at that point - we still had a manager, Lallana, Shaw and Lovren weren't subject to bids and Jay wasn't out for 6-9 months.

It doesn't make any sense for them to spend £30m on training facilities and then just sell everything.

That was already sanctioned, and they couldn't just stop the work 90% completed (As it was at that stage when they came in).

I've tried to remain impartial to all the media hype at the moment & currently its hard to decipher whats fact & whats fiction. To the normal fan it feels like "happy hour" at the media predicted meltdown & I reckon they are having a right laugh at our expense. In my opinion our own media dept are not doing their job correctly. The club needs good news & it needs it fast. Ever since the last day of the season we are no.1 targets for the press & like it or not, this will effect all areas of the club. Our own Daily Echo are not helping us out either with stories like "ex Brighton boss on radar" - seriously?! If there is a big grand master plan going on in the background with players reportadly wanting to come here then we need to start dealing. For once why isn't it us nicking other players from other clubs? If you analyse the media attack on Saints you can clearly see it is has been deliberatly targeted & is constant. They are blatantly ignoring any of the messages from the board with regard to players. Right now, our media team need to up their game.

Please note, this isn't a wish for daily/hourly updates from the club but anyone can see we need a break & we need it soon. I expect better from a Top 8 club whose apparent aspirations are Europe. I'll trust the board for now but for me, the person they appoint a manager will be the best indicator yet.

Sorry, but what the hell has this got to do with our media department?

The reason the media have such a free-for-all is because of the likes of RK, and Hans whatshisname and their throwaway, naive comments. The comments regarding them inheriting a difficult financial situation was ill-advised, ill-timed and opened up the doors.

This isn't anything to do with the media team. They put out what they're told to put out.

Yep. That financial statement was an act of crass stupidity.

Not sure how the board can be blamed for bids coming in ??

Find it fing ridiculousness that liverpool are bidding left right and center for players , are they the new west ham or something

I think its an understandable reaction for f**king the title up at the last hurdle. They are trying to make sure that they hit the track running and keep going until the end.

What has happened to you? Once a bastion of relative calm, you now act like a hysterical tart. Has BS hacked your account or something?

Just being realistic like with Poch. If Liverpool want Lambert then he will go. Not exactly a shock statement.

Still so many with their heads in the sand. We are facing probably 4 or 5 of our very best players leaving this summer, not exactly fun times.

Can't remember a transfer window were so many players and the manager (from any club)are linked with other clubs or one club

Fair enough they want to hit the ground running but surly they have other scouts, looking at other players ?

Or were they all at SMS

But how is that the boards fault if they want to go?

God i wish i wasn't a saints fan at the moment. We won't have 11 players to field a team next season and will probably have some plonker like oscar garcia or dan petrescu as manager. Will stick £100 on Saints being relegated as we must be the most sure fire bet ever!!!!! The national media seem intent on destroying Southampton

Lets hope the board are not full of bullsh*tters and liars and do stay strong and not sell everyone off. If we sell 6 or 7 players we are fu**ed next season.

Very fed up and frustrated Saints fan even though noone has actually left yet but definately fear the worst
