simo Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 Just wondering what peoples perceptions of Poch are now he's gone , do we hate him for jumping ship or does he go with our blessings?
bridge too far Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 Really? How old are you? Took the words out of my mouth!
Saints boy in Leeds Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 Don't see the point in booing him, he's done wonders for the club by getting us up the league meaning we get more money. I'm gutted he's gone but we move on, can't really blame him and nobody knows what our offer to him was, I very much doubt it was anywhere near what Spurs have offered though.
max_saints Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 appreciate what he has done, won't boo him but rather we let our actions do the talking by smashing them home and away.
St Chalet Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 A dignified ripple of applause to show our class followed by a huge round of "xxxx xxxxx Red and White Army" to show we've moved on.
BlakeySFC Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 Yes, I'm gonna bring a six-pack of Eggs to throw at him too.
simo Posted 28 May, 2014 Author Posted 28 May, 2014 I'll boo him I think he has been very sneaky in the way he has gone about things most of you lot seem to be laying the blame at the boards feet but I don't he knew months ago he was leaving and anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool ! When a man tells me he has a contract for a year andhe expects to honour it I bloody expect him to honour it therefore I shall be voicing my displeasure at the first opportunity !
DuncanRG Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 I don't expect he'll get a warm reception but booing would be silly. It would definitely be satisfying to beat them.
cellone Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 simo asked a question. Why the snide comments? I wonder if every one will feel so mature when we get done by spur whilst their fan give it the big one about him being theirs
Goatboy Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 Hopefully we'll be singing: 'sacked in the morning...'
Dellman Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 I don't do booing but if he signs Wanyama and Lovren and Morgan and...I'll be tempted
hasper57saint Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 simo asked a question. Why the snide comments? I wonder if every one will feel so mature when we get done by spur whilst their fan give it the big one about him being theirs And if the shoe is on the other foot perhaps we can adapt the Beatles song "Money can't buy you Love' We offered you a pretty good deal but you ran away to Spuds We just stuffed you well and good you moaning bunch of duds You just may think that you are big but we've just proved you wrong And whilst you're here we'll give a cheer and sing our own sweet song OWTSGMI....
nta786 Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 Hopefully we'll be singing: 'sacked in the morning...' this. especially when we beat them at st mary's to win 4th place on final day of season! one can dream.
hectors house Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 I may be a childish 51 years old but I'll boo him ... nothing too vindictive, more of a pantomime boo but a boo all the same. Crikey, this is football - proper grown up emotions don't come into play.
Sour Mash Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 We are definitely due a win over Spurs. Should add a bit of extra fire to the contest.
croydonsaint Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 Can only go with my heart. Adkins, would stand up and applaud with respect, he was pure class...... Pottecino, do not clap other team managers so would not acknowledge him. Wouldn't boo him but feel nothing for him. Hes looked after himself...... good luck to him but feel no warmth towards him.
WealdSaint Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 A round of applause at the start of the game And "you'll be sacked in the morning" at 90 minutes (hopefully)
TUS Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 Football fans are a right fickle bunch. Outrage when he joins us, outrage when he leaves us. This makes good reflective reading of where we were before he joined: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/saints-fans-protest-with-white-hankies-to-greet-mauricio-pochettino-8458816.html Whilst the manner of his leaving is disappointing, it does not warrant booing. I think he's made the wrong decision, but it's his decision to make. All the best to him I say - provided we stuff Spurs twice next season!
Fan The Flames Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 Football fans are a right fickle bunch. Well that never happened though did it. The disappointment was for two different things; the way the chairman treated NA and the way MP has treated the club. As far as I can remember no one directed anything towards MP. Anyway I'll give him dogs abuse when he comes to St Mary's, the ****.
latter day saint Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 Depends how ****ed i am i suppose FFS can't even get p1ssed past the poxy swear block! i reckon we should all chip in for a f*ck off massive Falklands flag to be passed around St Marys and footage of him chopping down Owen should be played on the screens
Bucks Saint Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 Win at ****e Hart Lane, same as Hoddle, hopefully
Horley CTFC Saint Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 I'll boo him I think he has been very sneaky in the way he has gone about things most of you lot seem to be laying the blame at the boards feet but I don't he knew months ago he was leaving and anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool ! When a man tells me he has a contract for a year andhe expects to honour it I bloody expect him to honour it therefore I shall be voicing my displeasure at the first opportunity ! I would concentrate on supporting the team rather than let him lap up all of the so called "12th man effect" It'll be more important for us to get a result against Spuds than trying to make one of our many ex's feel uncomfortable
RonManager Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 I boo everyone. I spent an hour today booing a nettle because it stung me. It hung it's leaves in shame. I forgave it.
JoeShmoe Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 Levy will have sacked him time they get to SMS, but I won't boo any former managers or players, it's a business and he gave us a good 18 months
cellone Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 I boo everyone. I spent an hour today booing a nettle because it stung me. It hung it's leaves in shame. I forgave it. You are weak,
Saint in Paradise Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 If you boo him it will just give him a lift, remember some players say they play better when being booed by opposition fans. IMHO the best thing will be to just ignore him like you do with every other manager as that might have more effect.
Draino76 Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 Can't believe no ones mentioned slit his throat yet.
doddisalegend Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 Surely a nice chorus of "Champions league you're having a laugh" will suffice, unless of course Spurs are sitting comfortably in a top 4 position, in which case I might just give him slightly nasty looks. It's not him leaving that ****es me off just the feeling that we where dicked about for months by MP when he knew he wasn't going to stay.
Grey Crab Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 This thread is really pathetic. Seriously, what's a matter with some of you? Some of the replies on here make me ashamed to be a Saints fan. Of course we boo him.
Delboy Dave Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 You fuggin gay boys that wanna give a polite clap to the back stabbing ***t need to sort your self out. Yes we give him dogs abuse, like what we give saggy chops but a whole lot worse.
Delboy Dave Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 A round of applause at the start of the game And "you'll be sacked in the morning" at 90 minutes (hopefully) That's a bit like giving your ex Mrs a kiss on the cheek after she's binned you out for better looking, more wealthy bloke. **** that! I'd wanna punch his smug face in!
colehillsaint Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 Booing never works. They will just turn us over and he will have made us all look like shmucks. No, we should lower his guard with a gentle round of applause. This will embarrass him slightly, as he will have a guilty conscience. Then at the crucial moment we unroll massive banners depicting Markus, Kat, Matty and Lawrie Mac all giving him the finger! Keep this secret please.
Golac's Iron Gonads Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 Pochettino is a wang kur, is a wang kur and sacked in the morning/winter/spring, will suffice for me.
Appy Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 Booing worked out so well when we lost to QPR last year. I'll boo him though. Passes the time.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 29 May, 2014 Posted 29 May, 2014 It's pretty easy to feel bad about his lack of loyalty, but let's face it very few in football nowadays will show it and we just don't know what the other side of the story was. My feeling is that had Cortese still been here, Mopo would too. So I'll not be booing...I'll not be cheering either...disrespectful indifference is the name of the game.
Baird of the land Posted 29 May, 2014 Posted 29 May, 2014 I'd prefer a some form of funny song/chant expressing our displeasure. Hasn't given the length of service to merit applause.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 29 May, 2014 Posted 29 May, 2014 Its bound to be first game of the season, so "sacked in the morning " will be quite funny. Especially with levys track record. Professionals aren't really that bothered about boos, unless its like the abuse redknapp got when we played at Skatemouth. The people who are bothered are fans. If we start booing and getting our knickers in a twist, the spurs lot will just take the Mick. Personally, I think a funny song to show we don't care and we're better off without him or show our indifference. We should show solid support for the new guy in front of them, even if he's a bit of a chump. It should be a case of, "Poch, who".
whelk Posted 29 May, 2014 Posted 29 May, 2014 Fans wishing him well sicken me. 'It's just a business' No it isn't.
whelk Posted 29 May, 2014 Posted 29 May, 2014 simo asked a question. Why the snide comments? It is standard for this place. Often from irritating bores who like to think they are so much more civilised, mature and rounded. Dullards.
aintforever Posted 29 May, 2014 Posted 29 May, 2014 Of course we will boo him, this is football not ****ing cricket.
hans gruber Posted 29 May, 2014 Posted 29 May, 2014 Of course we will boo him, this is football not ****ing cricket. unfortunately being in another country i cannot be there to boo him.... but i will boo my tv if i ever happen to be watching spurs. he can kiss my backside.
Minsk Posted 29 May, 2014 Posted 29 May, 2014 Hmmm, let me think, boos or applause for Poch-the-Conyo? Personally, I think anyone suggesting the latter should hang their heads in shame. He will get nothing but abuse from me; I'm sure Stan Collymore will have lots of nice words for the Argie **** though.
Viking Warrior Posted 29 May, 2014 Posted 29 May, 2014 I will not boo him equally I will not cheer him . I had so much faith in him and did believe he was going to say but as it now appears he has had his mind set on spurs long before sherwood was appointed . Maybe the NC factor . Also his mates ardiles would have encouraged him to go to spurs Booing is wrong . Doing nothing will have a big impact on him . I see in the media it's been suggested that levy will not sack him if he fails to get into CL next season . Also levy has sacked his technical director and is leading the process himself to find a replacement . Seems he is already undermining MP in club appointments
