'The Board's job is to find opportunity in this challenge and to continue to move the Club forward'.[/Quote]

More guff from Ralph about enjoying the electricity and opportunity in challenging moments. But you just can't help think what an opportunity we have wasted.

They offered him a new contract he didn't want it,he resigned and went to Spurs.

What more can the board do? If we had a chairman that aired everything in public people would be crying about that too

Let's judge them on who they appoint and see what resources are given to them

A fart can, when silent, take an enemy unawares. Sh1tting yourself would just render you immobile and smelling of sh1t, and a general figure of intense embarrassment.

In conclusion, I for one do not understand the negative connotations of this phrase.

I'm not whinging. Kruger is just clearly one of these guys I see at work who spends his days pushing bull**** around meeting rooms like a dung beetle. I'm surprised his statement didnt include more crappy business cliche's "let's not reinvent the wheel", "don't boil the ocean" etc etc.

He's a moron.

Absolutely agree

They come they go. He played some exciting football but he had the best crop of players we have had in a long time

Goodbye thanks for a great season but what matters is who we sign

That Kruger bloke seems to have made it in a tough sport. You hope he is no mug

Thought it was a cracking statement. Makes me positive for the future because we are ambitious and have a good vision.

Pochettino obviously resigned because he can't handle our ambition.

Superb.

I understand that the Radio Solent forum is to be resurrected before the commencement of the new season. If the statements issued by the official site, the rumours in the media, and the appointment of the new manager doesn't satisfy some on here, that will be the time to quiz RK about the background and the club's ambitions.

Well thanks for that informed insight! :mcinnes:

Exactly, sums up our new age fanbase.

Beggars belief doesn't it?

Where's our statement?

We don't like that statement.

Boo hoo. We're doomed.

Wish they all would fck off and support someone else

He left for a bigger club for more money and more potential than us. Those that think otherwise are deluded. Move on people and support the new gaffa when announced and give the board your support. Some people forget where we were only a few years back.

To some extent what was said and how it was said is irrelevant. What is relevant is that actions do speak louder than words, so let us see what happens in the coming weeks before we judge the abilities of the board. This is when it will be make or break for them.

I just wish for one statement from Krueger without all the frikkin talk about the clubs history.

Your job is to create NEW history Mr Krueger!

And what gives you the right to make rational reasoned statements, jump on the bus! Tis the end of the world as we know it!

You're right. He's been put in that position because he says all the right things, and plenty of supporters will lap it up because it sounds all fluffy and magical - but at the end of the day it's just waffle. Big words, impressive words, but anyone with an ounce of intelligence will realise they mean sod all.

In terms of the role he's actually here to do, he doesn't have a flaming clue what to do.

Ralph has failed to impress me yet I'm afraid. I started getting concerned during his awards speech when he spoke for a while without actually saying anything. That may fly in Canada and America but this is the UK and that type of waffle won't fly here. We have had saints go wilde and I don't want a repeat, saints fans have heard it all before.

Exactly, actions speak louder then words, a lot of heads in the sand on here tonight though

For me it was his rendition of "If" by Kipling that provided the David Brent moment of the evening for me.

Indeed. It reminded me of an alien looking at the sport of football for the first time and wondering how to appeal to the natives. I can't stand Americanised rubbish so this was particularly wince inducing.

And so was the bit where Gareth Rogers openly admitted that he had to get RK to change the ''Southampton Saints'' part of his speech.

Certainly had high hopes and was willing to give them a chance, especially as his track record looks good but he has said quite a few concerning things and after making a big thing out of transparency, have said nothing and allowed the newspapers to speculate for weeks. We appear to have a rudderless ship at the moment and whilst there are clearly other ways to lead than the way Nicola tried, we do need someone to actually take charge and communicate without the BS. What is our plan going forward? Something that outlined our vision without the management speak would be very welcome.

Posted

Some can bury their heads in the sand and claim the rest of us are bedwetters blah blah blah. The more intelligent amongst us can see through the hollow words of our new Chairman, and see what's really going on.

For what its worth, feel free to read through my posting history and you'll see I am actually normally very positive, even up to the last few weeks and days. However, the evidence is just too overwhelming to ignore. The owners and this board will be happy to milk the PL revenues and player sales with minimal investment for as long as they can.

What has he actually done wrong how can he stop players and managers bettering themselves especially with agents trying to get to the trough?

Exactly this. They offered him a contract weeks ago, he wanted to leave and did. Other than issuing a statement saying this, which I'm sure the freaks who having been slating the new board from the minute they started would have found fault with, what more could they do?

Posted

Such wisdom. Of course actions speak louder than words but so many don't seem to want to give the board a chance. Losing managers and players has always been an issue for Saints and always will be.

Pathetic tantrums saying 'he's a moron' etc. just show people up.

I don't have my head in sand but at same time the mob here make me sick. Imagine being in the trenches with such feeble personalities panicking at first sign of everything not being rosy. Dear me.

Did you feel the same way about NC and the players banging on about the CL?
