hasper57saint Posted 28 May, 2014 Share Posted 28 May, 2014 Do we get compensation? Or as he's resigned we're not entitled ? No. He had the contract and he cancelled it so HE has to pay the £2 million forfeit. Spuds can't pay SFC as they would be in breach of Contractual law. Company Manager gets fined by Court for Breech of H and S law. Directors so "Don't worry Fred, we'll pay that for you" Company then taken to court for 'Collusion' and fined TEN times more than Fred was told to pay. SFC laughing all gthe way to the Bank.Do Spuds want bankrupting?

um pahars Posted 28 May, 2014 Share Posted 28 May, 2014 Which in reality would need to be near £4m to cover the tax. No tax due to Image rights, paid offshore, paid to his Andorran company!!!!! imagine it will be a bit different to Jan Portakabin who had to buy himself out of his £30,000 contract with his Dutch outfit, but was never reimbursed LOL

doddisalegend Posted 28 May, 2014 Share Posted 28 May, 2014 #itshappeningbutnotthewayweexpected I would hope most would now have an inkling of why I posted the above a week or two ago. And to those who think Mopo is to blame, well think again. Cause and reaction is appropriate here...Mopo has gone because our Board either (a) didn't want to do the things necessary to keep him here or (b) have another 'master plan' involving another candidate - we have been visited twice now by Poyet so I'm told. I dare say there will be player reactions - whether they are positive we'll have to wait and see, but I have little faith that this Board has the ambition of the fans or the players that will see the club build on last season. Gutted only just covers it. #fullofit

angelman Posted 28 May, 2014 Share Posted 28 May, 2014 Interesting article. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2641980/Mauricio-Pochettino-high-maintenance-Tottenham-Spurs-finally-break-sulky-Argentine.html I don't have a problem with his supposed obsessive control from a supporters perspective. As long as the results come and that there is a core of happy players, then isn't that OK? There are always going to be some who are on the fringes that are going to be upset. How many of us thought that the camaraderie was pretty exceptional? Ultimately, and as Franny said, if people don't want to be here, then they should move on manager and players (if their contract is paid off to an adequate amount). To be the best sportsman, I do think you have to have a certain arrogance about you or a supreme confidence in your own abilities. Maybe to be a top manager you have to have an obsessive control. What I didn't know, was the little trip to watch PSG. So those who blame the board, what do they think about that? Reading that article he comes across as being ambitious. Nothing wrong with that, and let's be honest, no one (or hardly anyone) shows any loyalty in football. That's what money does to people. You just have to remember not to **** on too many people on your way up, because you never know what might happen on your (more than likely) way down. Either the author is speculating and assuming masses of info or he is being fed line, by line. Almost felt that it was MP feeding him the details until the last few lines, not sure now. Viking Warrior Posted 29 May, 2014 Share Posted 29 May, 2014 So the spuds want the following Sammy Saint the mascot dog, that deformed statue of Ted Bates and an old fried egg sandwich that Paul Sturrock left out in the canteen are all targets for other clubs this summer. Viking Warrior Posted 29 May, 2014 Share Posted 29 May, 2014 Just out of curiosity and Thinking out of the box but did MP change the tactics so the spuds got their first win under sherwood . Knowing he would be joining them in due course . Also is there another explanation why he changed the team for the Sunderland cup game and basically awarded them the tie . If we had gone on to win the cup then he would have found it harder to join spurs . Only conjecture on my part but in the cold light of day . Some results are unexplainable apart from we list games we should have won . Maybe the lack of plan b and c were responsible

doddisalegend Posted 29 May, 2014 Share Posted 29 May, 2014 Great article Nicola, sorry I meant Neil. That mail article make poch look like a total slag. erm so if that is NCs pet journo one can assume that most of that info came from NC? Adam blackmore hinted that MP had escaped NCs attempt to fire him at christmas and another article I read on the BBC said NC was given a target of top 6 by NC this season which he failed to achieve. A lot of people seem to think pooch would still be here if NC was running the show but the more little bits that have come out in the press last few days I'm wondering if NC would have fired him this summer...
