Saint Garrett Posted 23 May, 2014 Posted 23 May, 2014 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27545042 It's a good read, not really anything we've not heard before!
david in sweden Posted 24 May, 2014 Posted 24 May, 2014 all we need is that bit of luck, and a few referees not afraid to award a penalty for England when Rickie is on the pitch...... World Cup history is full of surprises and upsets - even in Finals....so who knows. IF.. England get through this group...I wouldn't want to bet against them !
sammysaint Posted 24 May, 2014 Posted 24 May, 2014 I Thought Shaw was with us since he was about 11-12 not 14 and ex Chelsea YTS.
Sour Mash Posted 24 May, 2014 Posted 24 May, 2014 I Thought Shaw was with us since he was about 11-12 not 14 and ex Chelsea YTS. Correct. But the article doesn't suggest he was Chelsea YTS (not sure if they still use that term?), or that he signed for us at 14. Good little article, just reaffirming how far Shaw has come in a short space of time.
Saint Garrett Posted 24 May, 2014 Author Posted 24 May, 2014 Is something unbelievable, yeah definitely? I think he got the "yeah definitely you know" from Puncheon!!
moonraker Posted 24 May, 2014 Posted 24 May, 2014 Like it especially where he said he used to be a Chelsea fan.
suewhistle Posted 24 May, 2014 Posted 24 May, 2014 According to this article he was released from Chelsea when he was 8! http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/may/23/luke-shaw-world-cup-england-southampton-brazil
skintsaint Posted 24 May, 2014 Posted 24 May, 2014 Surprised he can't remember anything about WC'06....
