SNSUN Posted 19 May, 2014 Posted 19 May, 2014 Holy **** balls, you expect a few injuries playing football but not death... http://www.marca.com/2014/05/19/en/football/international_football/1400514032.html?
SNSUN Posted 19 May, 2014 Author Posted 19 May, 2014 That Keeper has to live with that. Terrible challenge, mind you should have caught the ball in the first place.
trousers Posted 19 May, 2014 Posted 19 May, 2014 It seems to me his death was a result of non-diagnosis of the extent of the injury rather the the injury per se.
Delboy Dave Posted 19 May, 2014 Posted 19 May, 2014 How did he die from that? Looks like the keeper caught him on the upper thigh/Crown Jewels
Whitey Grandad Posted 19 May, 2014 Posted 19 May, 2014 How did he die from that? Looks like the keeper caught him on the upper thigh/Crown Jewels Ruptured spleen, perforated bowel...
The Cat Posted 19 May, 2014 Posted 19 May, 2014 Someone in the comments section under that youtube video says he didn't die.
Bloo71 Posted 20 May, 2014 Posted 20 May, 2014 It's in the Daily Mail. He was okay after the game but had to be hospitalized a few days later. He died of internal injuries. I haven't seen the video. I think there is something very wrong in watching someone dying, or in this case, an incident which led to their death. Doesn't seem right to me, to turn human tragedies into a form of entertainment.

If nothing else perhaps this can be a cautionary tale for those who might go a bit too far.
