davesaint Posted 17 May, 2014 Posted 17 May, 2014 Has any other player been with us so long and achieved so little? Made me think.....I suppose Tommy Forecast must be on a par
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 17 May, 2014 Posted 17 May, 2014 Tommy Forecast. Plus loads of players who only ever played for the reserves.
Badger Posted 17 May, 2014 Posted 17 May, 2014 I know what you're driving at but its unfair to lumber Forte in the same bracket as Pulis or Forecast. Whatever else Forte did contribute v MK Dons, a pivotal win in the run in.
sussexsaint Posted 17 May, 2014 Posted 17 May, 2014 He has given us the definition of quickness by which all players for the rest of time will be gaged
david in sweden Posted 19 May, 2014 Posted 19 May, 2014 I know what you're driving at but its unfair to lumber Forte in the same bracket as Pulis or Forecast. Whatever else Forte did contribute v MK Dons, a pivotal win in the run in. indeed, without those 3 points......that season might have looked very different. Considering what came after, he's most likely been worth the money... just for that result.
BotleySaint Posted 19 May, 2014 Posted 19 May, 2014 I still remember the headlines about us signing an international striker :-)
Viking Warrior Posted 19 May, 2014 Posted 19 May, 2014 I think we have all forgotten the magical Ali Dia he was special for all the wrong reasons
Turkish Posted 19 May, 2014 Posted 19 May, 2014 "When someone talks to me about a player and says he's quick, I always ask 'is he Jonno quick'?" One of the greatest lines I've ever read about a new signing.
buctootim Posted 19 May, 2014 Posted 19 May, 2014 "When someone talks to me about a player and says he's quick, I always ask 'is he Jonno quick'?" How come he took so long to **** off then?
doddisalegend Posted 19 May, 2014 Posted 19 May, 2014 (edited) One game legend. Worth it for this game alone. Great game me and the kids celebrating every goal like nutters. Edited 19 May, 2014 by doddisalegend
benjii Posted 19 May, 2014 Posted 19 May, 2014 Say what you like, but that leap when he buries the first goal is of inhuman proportions. Athelete, poacher, legend, Quick. Shout out to Barnard for the third finish. I remember that game well. A stand out moment of the Liebherr era.
Whitey Grandad Posted 19 May, 2014 Posted 19 May, 2014 Ah, happy days! Hard to believe it was only three years ago.
