Won't happen though, they had their chance last summer and cocked it up, now they're stuck with whoever they can get.

They can get him if they're willing to pay the compensation. Mourinho has been hot on the job for years. Remember his "boss of bosses" job application last year?

Yeah I doubt it also. But, being a West London lad I am surrounded by them. It would just be glorious.

I'm sure they'll get someone in, sounds like van Gaal already has it anyway. He's not exactly a mug, and not a kid either ;)

It must a relatively easy job now, following on from Moyes - it can't really get much worse than this season!

In fact it will be a massive job, all the pressure will be on them not to have a disastrous season like this one again. I don't know enough about Van Gaal to make any sort of judgement on him but EPL football is so different to all others that it's an art form for managers. So many "big names" have failed in the PL, some several times.

Well yes, I'm sure they wont. What I meant was, who would you follow?

Fergie on the back of a 10+ point title winning season,

or, David Moyes?

I get the impression we will never agree on anything, you and I

In fact what they might consider doing is putting Fergie out to grass, he's had his time with his band of players but now they need to turn the page on him and all that went with him. Appointing Giggs and Neville etc to get under the new manager's feet

was just a Fergie control mechanism as was appointing a Scot from a very similar background. They need a new broom, a new bucket and new dusters.
