Adam Lallana - Medical at Liverpool

Dr Who?

Recommended Posts

I think Weston Saint who is close to Adam and his family with his silence is telling us that Adam is on his way!!Sadly!!!

And let's not forget a certain THEVMAN who not so recently posted his last post, in which he said 2/3 important players will leave this summer.

£25M doesn't get close, IMO.

Jordan Henderson was £18M back in 2011. Eden Hazard is being rumoured as a £50M target for PSG. Andy Carroll for £35M. Juan Mata £37M.

Given how awash with money the PL now is, I think £30M is the minimum we'll be looking at, perhaps £35M - £40M if clubs get in a bidding war. Value for money? Not a chance. But it's fast becoming the going rate for a PFA team of the year player.

This is how I feel. Our very best players, shaw, Morgan and Lallana are simply being sold short by the press and some of our fans. The going rate for the cream of the crop has gone up and with the latest sky deal there is even more money burning a hole in chairmans pockets.

Does anyone know why the 25% Bournemouth sell on clause has never been bought out by Saints at some point over the last few years?

Perhaps we did not ever think it would reach the current level ? Or perhaps Bournemouth declined our offer of Tommy Forecast to 'call it quits'.

As a thought though, this was something presumably agreed when Lowe and Southampton Leisure were in control. Wonder if this transferred to ML on taking ownership.

I want AL to stay but reading yesterday he is now 26 I wonder if getting a decent fee now is prudent. AL is at the height of his powers and so as long as we squeeze a big fee and a lot is reinvested then I can see the sense

Players wkll go where the money and champions league is. Contracts mean bugger all now and the players know it.

Are players able to buy their contracts out now? Not sure, but if they can't, then why can't we keep players who the club gave new deals to in good faith?

Why would he be left out of the team for the last game of the season just because another club is interested in him? Are there any precedents for that?

It is being reported in the press he is joining Liverpool this week,if so the club might not want to risk him getting injured.it may be media bull. I have been told this week AL is very keen to play for them.

Think it generally only happens when the two clubs have agreed to sell and neither wants him injured. Or the player is in talks and is not mentally right to play.

WC ffs of course he doesn't want to get injured. He'd want to say bye anyway IF he was leaving which he isn't...

Until next season IMO

Why would Saints stop him getting injured to preserve a transfer to Liverpool? That transfer will happen only because AL wants to go.

Try not to be influenced by the Cortese fed bile in the press.

Don't believe a word of it. He will be a Saints player playing in the World Cup IMHO

What does anyone know! it's only a couple of weeks ago when the same media were say that the deal was done and he was off to Manure. We all know Moyes was sacked, but what happened the 'done' deal? All the media seem to have forgotten about that. Nw that Manure re in temporary limbo the attention turns to Liverpool, next week it will probably City or Chelsea.

If Suarez leaves Liverpool for big money. LFC will do the same as Spurs buy a load of players for inflated prices and take a step backwards.

Hopefully KL can convince everyone that there is money to spend and AL will stay with the club he 'loves'!!

if he's off and th club have accepted the situation then. I suspect they will not then want to get a lower price if there was an injury. As I say it may be media bull but if it is true then AL might not play.

Better not let him go to the World Cup then. Just in case.

If there are rumours also about Suarez leaving Liverpool for Madrid or Barca, if you were Lallana would you commit yourself before knowing for sure? I think I would wait and see. Take Suarez and thirty odd goals out of the equation and they are a pretty average team.

20 mill, is a good deal for both parties however, for me we need to prove were wanting the best deal for us and hold out for 25 million, if we do, then Shaw would go for 25million or more as well.

50mill from the sales of these two players would allow us to spend 35 mill of this on 2 maybe 3 quality players, while settling any debts we have for training ground.

However even if we have no money all we have to do is copy Everton this season, keep your best players bar maybe one replace them and then get a few free transfers and loans in, to maintain a top 8 side.

£20 is not a good deal for us at all. It would mean getting £15m for a player voted by his fellow pros as one of the best in his position over the season.

Someone who aged 26 is approaching his peak, has a superb attitude and is English.

£25m is a fair price. So for us to get near that we need to be asking for £30m.

If we got £50m for Shaw and Lallana we wouldnt spend it all, so would end up a far weaker team even after spending 20m on replacements of lower quality.

Add to this our best striker being injured until Christmas and its hard to be overly optimistic if we sell those two.

Certainly would be nigh on impossible to even replicate this season. Plus next year the likes of Newcastle and Villa will surely have sorted themselves out a bit.

Top 10 would be a huge achievement if we managed that without Poch and a few of this years squad.

Football is football . Players do move on occasionally . For a multitude of reasons . Look at Bale . That was a ridiculous offer by real . Look at players at big big clubs there stars move on . Look at Ronaldo to name one . Just because you play at a big club around the world sometimes doesn't mean your going to keep your very best players

I think the transfer market will be very quiet for the next couple of months due to the World Cup . Then you will see lots if activity . Unless there are some good players that are in relegated clubs that some teams might want to snap up .

As for me I quietly confidence that everything will be fine whatever players we have . I'm not going to be derailed by some of the negativity that is continually spouted off

20M would be an awful deal for Saints. Double that & we'd be in the region that a england international in his prime who's just been voted one of best players in the league should fetch. Don't want to sell him but if he forces his way out then we should be properly compensated and not robbed blind.

Adam Lallana in #saintsfc programme: "I'm ambitious. I want to one day play in Champions League and compete for Premier League title."

Well that won't be with us, I guess he'll move eventually but when?

At 26 he is entering what most consider a player's prime years, so if it isn't this summer it will be the next one.
