Alain Perrin Posted 3 June, 2014 Share Posted 3 June, 2014 I think the vitriol and "get rid" attitudes are just playing into the hands of a club (LFC) and players advisers who want the deal done via the press. I think it's sly of Liverpool who (quite rightly) have *****ed about their players being poached in this way. As a result I vote we stick to our guns and deal after the world cup. Sign as many shirts as you lil Adam, hell, sign Ian Rush's man boobs for all we care. You ain't going anywhere until we say so.

Saint Fan CaM Posted 3 June, 2014 Share Posted 3 June, 2014 I cast my mind back to the time when Puncheon was kicking off about his lot in life at Saints. Wasn't he banished to train with the kids? Perhaps AL needs to be taught a similar lesson for showing such disrespect to his contract as Team Captain?

Saint_Abroad Posted 3 June, 2014 Share Posted 3 June, 2014 "hope so mate" Adam squeaked back at the little lad, as a solitary tear rolled down his f.c.u.k face. He checked his phone once more to see if any of his evil slave masters had returned his last pleading calls for deliverance, instead all he had was some ****ty message from his cock head neighbour about his son's play zone not being regulation height. Adam told his minders he had no more time for peasants and scooped up his handbag and decided to find the Liverpool rep who would no doubt be doing a line of coke off of one of Rooney's whores in Hodgsons hot tub. Edit: have no idea why I suddenly started writing this, odd, sorry. This was only after Adam, hearing laughter and seeing a long line of England well wishers at the other end of the table, looked and noticed Rickie and Gerrard sitting together. Entranced by Rickie's noticeably bigger smile he glanced down at Rickie's hand, which worked feverishly to sign autographs for the almost innumerable supporters that flocked to that end of the table. In Rickie's fervor Adam noticed something odd about that hand which was signing so many autographs. "Did he get a new tattoo? No. That's an odd tan line" Adam thought to himself. Suddenly it struck him, that was a tan line left by years of wearing a now gone Eterna watch. As a tear rolled down the face of Adam and jealous rage began to fill him he saw Rickie lean over to Gerrard, gesture to Adam and say, just loud enough so everyone heard it, "scummer." Lallana signing some kid's shirt is like the bizarre situation that you describe? I honestly can't think of any way at all in which those two circumstances are alike. doddisalegend Posted 4 June, 2014 Share Posted 4 June, 2014 The Liverpool fans that phone into talkSport can do very impressive London accents. For your average upper end footballer playing for a small(er) club with dubious ambitions then a move to a CL side with the salary that goes with it is indeed a dream move. Just cannot see why so many fail to see that we are now going nowhere and that our better players want to progress in their careers. We need to let them go, above all Shaw because clubs seem to be willing to pay far more than he's actually worth. Wait and see, this will backfire on us when they prove their real level in the WC. When he asked him if he was signing for Liverpool, AL replied "hope so mate" Very silly of Lallana. Fair enough sign these kind of things behind closed doors but in public as the club captain of Southampton Football Club I think it would have been very easy for him to simply say "Sorry, you know I cannot sign that". Especially with all the speculation, he knew fine well what he was doing and that there were people taking photos. The way Lallana is acting is telling me 'sell him asap'. Used to worship him but now my opinion has changed completely. Poor from him.

I'm with you here Window. Adam played out of his skin for most of last season, though he seemed to taper in the last part of the season. I just don't see him sustaining that level of performance at the WC or at CL level should he go to a "top club" Also, unless the reports of his comments and stance have been mis-quoted he is nearly a lame duck for Saints. It would be a major surprise if Ricky played a significant role in the WC and his influence at Liverpool may not be great. And then there's Luke; he is a beauty, no doubt; but still has a bit to prove at both Prem and International level. Maybe the values and reputations will not be enhanced by the time the World Cup is over.
monosaint Posted 4 June, 2014 Share Posted 4 June, 2014 Not many are surprised that AL should want to enhance his career but as Club Captain and a so called loyal player he is showing a distinct lack of respect for Saints fans with his comments and behaviour. Surely you understand that a player on a long term contract who is performing very well is worth whatever the contracted club say he is, in order to break that? Its not like you can do a quick comparison check on google. It matters not one bit that other people think the price is too high.
