Gutted that he has gone but if a player wants to leave then not much you can do sadly.

Hopefully the club stay true to their word and re-invest all the money from transfers to strengthen the team this season.

Deal is done, his twitter profile states "Professional footballer at Man Utd..." changed from "Professional footballer at Southampton"

Gutted? Not at all, as I have been supporting Saints for quite a few more years than he's been alive, and will hopefully still be here when he's hung up his boots. Preferred to have kept him, sure, but £30m+ is £30m+. Close the book now, and move on.

Hate to say I did say this pre World Cup

3 installments of £10 million, has been agreed in principal before the World Cup started.

But the manager decided on that right, well perhaps not the never-never payment plan but on the fact that Shaw could go...Manager wasn't fussed about him, why should we be.

well, that is that

£30m for an 18 year old left back with 1 season under his belt.

if he wanted to go, that is one hell of a fee.....

will be mightily disappointed if we dont have a transfer fund north of £50m now

FUnny his Twitter bio went from Saints, to MUFC, to now nothing. Maybe they are loaning him back for a year! #obviouslynot

Whatever life and club go on. No need for all the emotion I reckon. Part of the corruption of world football.

So Luke changed his twitter before it is official.....

Well there was a reason why Ward-Prowse won the scholarship award last year despite Luke being superior on the pitch I guess....

Sky say it's done. Five year deal.

Lovely jubbly ... hope we have got a decent Sell On percentage as he jets off to Real Madrid or Barcelona next summer to fulfill his dream of Champs League Football, as Man re have another terrible season ;-)

Well we move on. Hopefully he saves the 'I owe myself to southampton' ********. Got faith in Koeman who will pick a more then able replacement. £30m for a 18 year old is crazy money - However its our crazy money.

He's a good lad but not the brightest of sparks when compared to the likes of JWP, Chambers, and Sam McQueen, and no coincidence they nicknamed him 'dopey' when growing up.

Don't ever get the sense Luke had the same attachment to Saints as some of the lads in his age group, which is probably no surprise given that he grew up as Chelsea fan living close to their training ground.

His family seemed a bit too invested in the myth of Cortese as well and there were rumours about his agent trying to insert some clause in Luke's contract that if NC left then so could Luke. Remember his Dad also sparking off on twitter about the new board having no ambition or vision when Cortese resigned, so you got the sense that it's not just his agent that would have been pushing the move.

Still, not sure any of us could say we would turn down £100,000 a week as an 18 year old. Shame he couldn't have stayed another couple of years and given us back a bit more for the 10 years spent developing his talent, but good luck to him.

Looks like Lallana is going today as well! Haha

Twitter skills is a vital part of the evaluation as well as potential 3-somes and snap chat nudes.

He is currently in Brazil, he might just be talking about the weather. :p

So, how many of the Dutch squad will we be able to afford as replacements?

(I was thinking defenders or midfielders, but a couple of their strikers CDAJFU!)

I´ll take De Vrij, Martins Indi, Depay and Clasie please.

Yes Lallana by the end of the day.

Did he get off the plane in Manchester too, or did they divert to John Lennon International to drop him and Lambert off?

This move makes me puke, in particular, how it's come about. At least Luke and Ads allowed the club to parade for posterity the names of 2 Saints players at the World Club.

From Guan's indications he hasn't till now been allowed to tell us everything on Shaw, I hope he will finally let us know all the ins and outs behind the scenes. Something happened in those closing days of last season. Something I believe that effected several players and made Pochettino decide to leave a couple of weeks later.

ARTOVISIONS view on things.

Tomorrow is the New Moon, Shaw should have held off a day before signing to improve his future plans. At this time, one of the most auspicious indications in Astrology, is the period each year or so, when the Planet Saturn appears to reverse it's path in the sky. This is known as Saturn in Retrograde. Saturn dictates Karma in our lives. It is a time of delay, reflection, of putting in order past mistakes, errors. coming to terms with problems.

Saturn went into retrograde on March 2nd and won't turn direct till the 20th July. It is a time when one should avoid all new ventures, not to sign new contracts, launch any financial changes. For Mister Shaw, his impatience to get away from the mouth that has fed him, from the people who made him, gave him a huge chance, will have his just rewards. Karma is about to teach him a huge lesson.

Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana set to complete £25m move to #lfc. Talks now at advanced stage, could even be completed today.

Funny how things change so quickly sometimes....

Despite all the media announcements, nothing actually officially announced yet.

Few rumors floating about (nothing reliable) that Chelsea tried to/are trying to hijack the deal.

About as much chance as Suarez turning vegetarian, but would be quite funny if it happened.

The club are probably waiting for the Lallana sale to go through so they can announce them both at the same time.

Your average footballer will say anything, probably even believes it to be true, until he gets a better offer that is.
