washsaint Posted 11 May, 2014 Share Posted 11 May, 2014 incredible to think the lad is only 18. Best LB in the country and to sell him for 27million would be seriously underchanging us. Irreplaceable for us....more so than Adam
washsaint Posted 11 May, 2014 Author Share Posted 11 May, 2014 If he carries on developing at the same rate, he will easily be worth 80-100 million in a 2-3 years (based on the crazy transfer market right now). he is light years ahead of Bale at the same age

SNSUN Posted 11 May, 2014 Share Posted 11 May, 2014 Disagree OP. Lallana is our most skilful, talented, goal scoring midfielder. Those aren't easy to find. Shaw is replaceable, not like for like but with someone good enough.
igsey Posted 11 May, 2014 Share Posted 11 May, 2014 Bale was superb with us and Shaw likewise. A fullback would be easier to replace than the creativity AL gives us He's so much more than just a full back though. He's more like a very good winger that happens to be a very good defender. Keep him at all costs unless he specifically asks to leave.

Shaw is superb and in time his crossing and assists will improve
washsaint Posted 11 May, 2014 Author Share Posted 11 May, 2014 Disagree re Adam being harder to replace. We Have Garton And The Next Group Like Sims Coming through. We don't have the same luxury at lb and without wishing to be too controversial shaw is already world class and Adam is not......very good but not world class

nta786 Posted 11 May, 2014 Share Posted 11 May, 2014 If Targett is good enough to step up and become a Prem left back- then obviously Shaw going wouldn't be so bad. Personally, I think he'll wait one more season- unless the likes of Lallana, Morgan and Dejan all go. Lallana is genuinely irreplaceable- the cost to find someone of his ability will be quite a lot IMO.

You lot sound like Palace fans before they sold Zaha. Yes Lallana is going to the World Cup. HINT: Look at the name of the competition. PS. As you know Lallana is definitely leaving to join Liverpool and will go on to be **** during Champions League, lottery numbers would be appreciated in your next post, ta. I also want to let you know that Lambert scored against Man Utd today and tops our assists chart as if I remember correctly you were repeatedly telling us deluded lot how he was done for and past it about 4 months ago. Looking forward to more of your pearls of wisdom in the future., I don't know how we cope when your not here to be honest. Calm your passive aggressive ass down with a nice hot water bottle or something. I didn't say he's not going to the WC, I implied he's going to have sod all impact on the WC or Champions League if he takes part in either as he isn't good enough. He's a very good player but he's absolutely not World Class. Yes Lamberts adapted his game well, but as a striker he's finished. He's had a stronger second half of the season but he's a shadow of what he was last year.

If my post came across as aggressive I apologise, I'm not at all, I was quite calm and amused as I typed that I thought your opinions were 'silly' if you think that this is an aggressive word I apologise. I was just pointing out that you aren't very right very often. You are correct you never said that Lallana wasn't going to the World Cup and I knew this before. But you still don't seem to see how daft your original post sounded even with a hint so I'll explain; You: Lallana is not World Class. Fact: Lallana is going to the WORLD ;)Cup. You: Lambert is finished as a striker. Fact: Lambert has scored 13 league goals this season (more than Robin Van Persie interestingly) Certainly not butt hurt whatever that means? Although my ass is laughing my butt off at your 'wisdom' and how easy this is. Now if that's what you meant then this time you've actually got something right and I'll go find that hot water bottle. Looking forward to more pearls, keep em coming. EDIT: Sorry for all the smileys but I put them in so you don't get confused by my tone. Here's another one that sums it all up nicely. melmacian_saint Posted 12 May, 2014 Share Posted 12 May, 2014 I still think one of our FBs will depart this summer for decent money. I always thought Clyne was the one going, but the Shaw hype is getting out of control and it may just be too much for us.
