Why couldn't Liebherr sponsor us?

Paying money to yourself isn't exactly a great business deal

Ethiad Airlines proves this!

To answer the OP's point. 1) KL has no connection withe Liebherr business, as do Marcus. 2) Most Shirt deals are B2C companies, not B2B - fridges aside.

Manchester City?

Not doubting it happens but just not good business. If we had an owner driven by their own ego I have no doubt it could happen but it's not the Leibherrs way thank goodness. They clearly see the benefit of profiling the name Southampton in an entirely different business sector with a totally new audience.

Had they done that then the neg-a-bots on here would be posting that we didn't know the details of the deal and that KL was probably letting the "digger company" get free sponsorship and that we were mugs and #itshappening and all the other tiresome **** that pops into their tiny circuit boards...

If a multi billion dollar company sponsored us only the ignorant would moan concerning that fact. The fact our owner who's family own a multi billion dollar company have decided not sponsor their own asset and let a speaker company have the option speaks volumes. (pardon the pun)

Bazza old mate, isn't it time that you shut up. It was 66 posts yesterday and you are already pushing well past 25 today. Shouldnt you go and do something a bit more worthwhile with your life than sit on this mong board all day, every day.

St Chalet warned last week that the mods do not like trolls who post repeatedly. You don't want them to think that you are a WUM troll do you now??

With the greatest of respect put me on ignore, you don't have to be part of the debate, I did not force you to count my posts nor did I force you to comment on a thread that I created, why do it?

Liebherr could have sponsored us but they didn't.

The reasons are unknown.

Has Katharina put money in over the last 4 years?

What do you think Barry?

How much have you put in?

Bazza old mate. I have had you on ignore. The only trouble is that you pollute so many threads with your nonsense that there is little to read on this forum when you are on ignore.

Go on. Switch the laptop off. Go and do something with your life instead of wasting it on here.

You still do not have to comment, like a moth to a light, don't do it and all will be fine.

But Bazza old mate I do need to comment. I want to be able to iead this forum without finding that 40% of the threads are unreadabe because I have you on ignore and you dominate so many threads.

You are nearly up to 100 posts in just over 24 hours now. Go on. Switch off the laptop and go and do something with your life. ... and that doesn't mean returning on here posting as Glasgow Saint.

Go on.

Really? As such an avid Saints fan, surely you would know all of this?

I could give you a break down that amounts to nearly 40 million quid, of cold hard cash and another 30 million in obligations, that has come directly from Katrina, but with you being such a Saints guru, I doubt it will be necessary.

Has that come from her personal wealth?

Katerina Lieberr has put £30-40 Million of her own money into Southampton FC? Well I guess I have to ask can you prove that statement?

Why would I have to prove something to an all knowing Saints fan, when the information is all in the public domain.

Barry, you are being both boring and tedious. Make your point and stop winding everyone up.

By merely asking a question? I would like to know whether Katerina Liebherr has personally funded £30-40 Million of her own wealth as opposed to Liebherr Group (the company) themselves who view Southampton as a long term investment (ie bought low sell high philosophy).

There is no wind up on this.

I presume you mean the MALI group if companies that her dad created. As I understand it this has now been dissolved. Although she did not out the money in herself it is now her money that is invested. In this situation any sponsorship would be viewed and evaluated in its own right as to its cost-effectiveness.

if willi and isolde and their entire families simultaneously fell into a hole she might stand to inherit a portion of the business. i'm not familiar with swiss inheritance law though.
