Gemmel Posted 10 May, 2014 Posted 10 May, 2014 What sort of reaction will Giggs get from Saints fans if he brings himself on for the last fifteen? He is still chasing the "Stat" of having scored in every premiership season, so I expect him to make some sort of appearance, which is likely to be his last ever. I hate united (always have), but he has been an incredible player and with the exception of his private life has been a one club phenomenon. Will Saints fans give him a standing ovation...............
Barry the Badger Posted 10 May, 2014 Posted 10 May, 2014 What sort of reaction will Giggs get from Saints fans if he brings himself on for the last fifteen? ............... I will look round to see many of the people around me singing louder and with more passion for Ryan Giggs than they have for saints all season.
Graffito Posted 10 May, 2014 Posted 10 May, 2014 We good be saying good bye to our Manager and some of our better players. Keep the ovations for our own.
John Boy Saint Posted 10 May, 2014 Posted 10 May, 2014 I think because we are first and foremost football fans we all recognise that he has had an impressive football career and on the whole we are pretty well rounded football fans I expect he will get a lesser round of applause than Michael Owen last season..................... Followed possibly by a WHO when his name is announced and no doubt capped by a chorus of Sheep Sheep sh@gger!
so22saint Posted 10 May, 2014 Posted 10 May, 2014 "does your wife know you are here" I'll still clap him, he's my age so his retirement makes me all sentimental
dronskisaint Posted 10 May, 2014 Posted 10 May, 2014 Polite round of applause will suffice..opposition manager, player and Welsh!
Dellman Posted 10 May, 2014 Posted 10 May, 2014 I'll give Giggs a small clap which is more than I gave Owen who never fulfilled that early promise and became a football mercenary, taking huge wages and doing very little except train his horses, boring little chap, Giggs at least works for his money
Chez Posted 10 May, 2014 Posted 10 May, 2014 I am minded of the penultimate game at the dell when giggs tore us apart and saints fans could only really stand in awe of him. Amazing player in his prime and well worth a round of applause. Much more than Owen last season.
cellone Posted 10 May, 2014 Posted 10 May, 2014 I'll leave it for united fans to adore their player/ manager.
