Matthew Le God Posted 7 May, 2014 Share Posted 7 May, 2014 (edited) Quoting Kipling's "If" reminds me of this... Next season Saints will be playing "four, four, f**king two". Edited 7 May, 2014 by Matthew Le God

CB Fry Posted 7 May, 2014 Share Posted 7 May, 2014 "The team achieved, without ego" Ralph says. Bit harsh. He was there until January.
dubai_phil Posted 7 May, 2014 Share Posted 7 May, 2014 Us #globalsaints got a mention! Well done AussieSaint. Lol at the use of the term Training Camp. Still some "Localisation" to do Ralph
Toon Saint Posted 7 May, 2014 Share Posted 7 May, 2014 No doubt that Ralph possesses some great qualities and he's clearly got a lot of experience in public and motivational speaking. I do wonder how well this sort of speech would go down with the first-team though? A bit cheesy and cod-philosophical in parts, and more generally about team-building than football. I know Cortese was hardly immune from using galvanizing mantras ('It's happening', 'Our Dream is Real' etc.) but you get the sense that he would be direct and target-orientated when speaking to players individually. Don't want to come across as too critical and I hope that he makes a great chairman, but it would be nice to hear a bit more specificity in terms of what he wants to achieve with the club. Hoping that the vagueness on targets is not unsettling players.
hypochondriac Posted 7 May, 2014 Share Posted 7 May, 2014 Says my sisters name but literally does not know who she is! In all seriousness though I am told he is a really nice bloke and that things behind the scenes have improved hugely since Nic left so that's a positive.
