Jillyanne Posted 5 May, 2014 Posted 5 May, 2014 Never been but looking to go to Weymouth or close by for a long weekend. Anyone got any recommendations for which sites or caravan parks to go to? Close to beach?
so22saint Posted 5 May, 2014 Posted 5 May, 2014 Eweleaze Farm - it's superb, though also described as a middle class refugee camp due to it's wood fired pizza oven and yurts
Kingsland Red Posted 6 May, 2014 Posted 6 May, 2014 Osmington Mills, a nice walk along the cliffs from Weymouth.
robbsaints Posted 6 May, 2014 Posted 6 May, 2014 We have stayed at a new site called Higher Moors for a long weekend. Highly recommended. Outskirts of Weymouth but close to the cheap Park & Ride with buses to the beach every 15 minutes.
The Cat Posted 6 May, 2014 Posted 6 May, 2014 Eweleaze is quality, we've been the past 5 years. Has it's own private bay, a shop selling alcohol, food cooked on site, campfires allowed. Camp where you want and there's loads of space - they don't crowd the fields at all. Best to book ahead as it does sell out.
Channon's Windmill Posted 6 May, 2014 Posted 6 May, 2014 Can highly recommend Waterside Bay. Went June last year and going back again next month. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Jillyanne Posted 6 May, 2014 Author Posted 6 May, 2014 Thanks everyone, what should I be looking at paying, either for a static or taking our own tent?
The Cat Posted 7 May, 2014 Posted 7 May, 2014 Eweleaze only have tents or camper vans. Any site without weird caravanners is always a bonus. Prices below: Adults £7.50/night Sunday to Thursday nights, and £15/night for Friday and Saturday nights (and Sunday of the bank holiday weekend) Children, 3-14 inclusive £3.75/night Sunday to Thursday nights, and £7.50/night for Friday and Saturday nights (and Sunday of the bank holiday weekend) Vehicles Flat fee of £10 for each vehicle brought onto site for the stay No charge for: Infants under 3, pets, extra tents, gazebos etc etc
Block 18 Posted 7 May, 2014 Posted 7 May, 2014 Either East or West fleet campsites are very good value, both have a restaurant/ bar areas and both are near town.

Down a foo kin great hill to the site. If so yeah we have been a few times always a good atmos.
