If Hodgson is planning for the future.....he'll do well to take the likes of Shaw and one or two of the younger starlets. Even if they do no more than a 10 minute sub. it'll do wonders for their future career.

Why do people find it nessasary to criticise this article? It's fair enough and Hodgson makes a valid point that the players know what to expect and boredom is a poor excuse for poor performance. Some may recall boredom was one of the lines trotted out for our failure in a previous competition.

Have to say when roy was going on about boredom the other day for players in brazil I did chuckle. Having been to brazil and specifically Rio/Cabo Frio and Buzios the boys are gonna have a great time, watch them out of the their hotel rooms until dark everyday relaxing on the beaches :-)
