spyinthesky Posted 29 April, 2014 Posted 29 April, 2014 Any one know what the speed limit along this road is please? I assumed it was 50mph and this is shown on a relevant website However I have been sent a notice of intended prosecution with a notified speed of 47 mph Any assistance appreciated
LGTL Posted 29 April, 2014 Posted 29 April, 2014 Went through that speed camera today. Almost certain it's 50.
Whitey Grandad Posted 29 April, 2014 Posted 29 April, 2014 Along by the football ground it's 50, further west it drops to 40. I drove along there on Sunday.
cryoman1965 Posted 29 April, 2014 Posted 29 April, 2014 It is 50 until you go past the roundabout for the train station/asda. It thendrops to 40.
spyinthesky Posted 29 April, 2014 Author Posted 29 April, 2014 The notice says Dean Park so assumed it was one of the first set of cameras opposite the football ground
Saint Paul C Posted 30 April, 2014 Posted 30 April, 2014 The notice says Dean Park so assumed it was one of the first set of cameras opposite the football ground That's the bit after the Asda roundabout going towards Westbourne.... https://goo.gl/maps/Nv9vy
tony13579 Posted 30 April, 2014 Posted 30 April, 2014 You need to check the signs and the traffic order. They put this order on a temporary order. Has it been renewed? Send a freedom of information request to the relevant council for a copy of the traffic order. Check the signs are exactly where they should be, both sides of the road, that the red circles are still red not orange. That hat there are no side roads and slip leading into the site are also signed correctly The terminal signs into the site should be lit as it's a "principle rd" and there are street lights in the vicinity.
tony13579 Posted 30 April, 2014 Posted 30 April, 2014 Also, if they left the 50mph road markings when they reduced the speed limit. http://www.opsi.gov.uk/si/si2002/023113ar.gif
tony13579 Posted 30 April, 2014 Posted 30 April, 2014 You need to measure the lines in the road. Are they 1m or 2m?
