It's the definition of safe television. This, it feels like a 'by the numbers' approved by committee ' sit com. It is vastly better than a lot of the god awful American sit coms ( anger management , mike and Molly etc etc etc ) but it doesn't have the witty edge that even 'friends' had Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Steven Levitan has a good track record with comedy though, Just Shoot Me, one of his prior shows was also extremely funny until the US networks started manipulating it to their own ends.
