Not sure about that. His arm was away from his body and blocked the ball, but he was moving it in to try and get out of the way. 50/50.

Ball to arm just isn't given these days, no matter out far out from the body the arms are.

Yet if you merely brush an attacker and he goes down it's a penalty.

Game turning into netball slowly but surely.

Owen sounds like some random northerner dragged out of a pub.

I agree. He is sounding like a right dumb noob.

I guess he is deliberately being pro-Everton because of his Scouse links.

Depends which team he is playing for.... and against. ;)

TBF, that was a more deliberate handball by Fonte

You mean the one with Lovren (I think it was him at least)?

Yes, but that was outside the box. I´ll trade a freekick there for a penalty any day.

good half

you can tell we miss the directness of rodriguez up front

some really nice football played at times against a good side

clyne and cork been superb

lukaku being kept very very quiet, which is nice

and good to see another team score some horrendous own goals in our favour

The one at the end of the half. Was it Lovren? My bad. But yes, I agree, it looked to be JUST outside the box.

:lol::lol::lol::lol: what the f*ck was all that about! Couple of cracking finishes tbf. Someone needs to check betting patterns, you can't tell me Coleman didn't mean that!

Ps - cork for England

We talk about us not having squad depth. Everton are in 5th, but look what happens when they play their own version of Jos and Yoshida at centre back. Great performance so far, would like to see Rickie bag a couple of goals though

Great first half. Saints' passing play a joy as always. Wanyama a couple of spectacular tackles. Gallagher starting to looking promising... he's winning the ball in 50-50 situations. Lallana, Cork, Davis, Lambert great interplay. Shaw and Clyne looking terrific. We're THAT close to a champions league team....

Thought Wanyama was excellent that half as well, we look so much more solid when he plays. Think Lallana is still a bit off. Lambert and Gallagher doing well, SRL looks good in that no.10 role

I've done my bit for the cause....just put £10 on Everton to win at 16/1 and another £10 on the draw at 13/2. I rarely win anything.... COYR!

Good work. BT Sport highlighting the number of points we've lost from winning positions, it's no secret, so lets hope that works.

I am loving cork and Wanyama together in midfield.... Morgan might be in trouble here :D They are playing very well together.

I think we are winning this without really having to do much, expecting Everton to either sort themselves out or we'll stick another 2 past them this half.

Loved Lambert's layoff for Davis, showed his class with the composure and pass. Shame Davis hit it wide, although not easy to hit it with accuracy when running at that pace.

All in all, a very happy fan :)

Big Vic is immense since he has come back in, he could probably stop sunlight if he wanted and with cork getting out of more tight spaces than john holmes dong I'm liking this pairing, pity jack can't score in a brothel.

Agreed. Possibly the first time Pochettino has started them together?

Definitely. They've played together after substitutions once or twice but Pochettino has avoided it most of the time. Usually uses Ward-Prowse, but to be fair when a CM comes off it's usually for an attacker when we're behind and looking for a goal

HaHa, funny as...... the two players Owen said would be the reason Everton won the game today are the two to have been subbed off so far
