itchen_dan Posted 21 April, 2014 Share Posted 21 April, 2014 Not at all surprised. All for giving him time etc but been a woeful season. Should've finished top 4 minimum. Ryan Giggs set to be caretaker until end of the season. http://dailym.ai/1r8hua0 http://mirr.im/1i7eGIX http://fw.to/Wlj2OQi Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

pap Posted 21 April, 2014 Share Posted 21 April, 2014 When Moyes was first appointed Everton manager, the joke around LFC fans was:- "Why have Everton appointed David Moyes?" "Because he knows his way to all the first division grounds"
DuncanRG Posted 21 April, 2014 Share Posted 21 April, 2014 What a shambles. The club will be embarrassed about this for decades, and rightly so. Hope the fans and media maintain scrutiny on them and don't think all is well now Moyes is (seemingly) off.
Sour Mash Posted 21 April, 2014 Share Posted 21 April, 2014 Was he not Fergie's pick though? He probably still carries too much weight around there though. Feel sorry for Moyes, seems a decent bloke, just ended up out of his depth. Will be interesting to see who they bring in now and how much of the summer it will eat up. Colinjb Posted 21 April, 2014 Share Posted 21 April, 2014 Stick a guy on a 6 year contract with a new board incapable of throwing their weight around and an aging squad that were dragged kicking and screaming to the title last year by a man who's reputation had become the very essence of the club. Feel sorry for Moyes actually, he never had a chance. Frankly, I can see Ryan Giggs getting the role full time. With Fergie in the background holding influence no previously proven manager will want to go there, especially with no Champions League football. Dig Dig Posted 21 April, 2014 Share Posted 21 April, 2014 Bring him to saints if poch goes? He's been accused of ignoring the academy at Everton for 10 years. Wouldn't be a good fit for us at all.

We could definitely do worse if poch were to leave and we wanted a manager with some clout to keep key players. Is a proven success of a club of our size. Apparently the atmosphere at Everton was one of fear for academy players under Moyes, too afraid to takes chances and make mistakes.
CB Fry Posted 21 April, 2014 Share Posted 21 April, 2014 Looks like one of those occasions when every newspaper in Britain decides to completely make up out of thin air the same story on the same afternoon. Such liars, ain't they?

They went through exactly the same thing after Matt Busby. If history repeats itself, they'll have to get through another one or two managers (although probably not a relegation!) before they get back to challenging for the title.
