GazzerMaBoy Posted 21 April, 2014 Posted 21 April, 2014 Taking into account the club's renewed push for commercial revenue... and the "apparent" shockingly poor deal we currently have with aap3... Has anyone heard any news or got the inside track on who our new shirt sponsor might be for next season...?
Verbal Posted 21 April, 2014 Posted 21 April, 2014 Taking into account the club's renewed push for commercial revenue... and the "apparent" shockingly poor deal we currently have with aap3... Has anyone heard any news or got the inside track on who our new shirt sponsor might be for next season...? I'm not sure it's "apparent" - more of a fact. Aap3 is the joint-lowest shirt sponsor's deal in the Prem. Barely £1m pa. Anyone at the club trying to do a deal that's better than that is going to be aiming at the easiest target of all.

Saint Jude Posted 21 April, 2014 Posted 21 April, 2014 I heard there was due to be some kind of announcement at the club this week... Wondered whether it could be about sponsorship? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Pastor Patrón Posted 21 April, 2014 Posted 21 April, 2014 Since we get sod all for sponsors we should just do a Barca and put a charity like Unicef on our shirts. It'd be such a baller move and good for the clubs brand.
trousers Posted 21 April, 2014 Posted 21 April, 2014 I heard there was due to be some kind of announcement at the club this week... Source? Cheers
GazzerMaBoy Posted 21 April, 2014 Author Posted 21 April, 2014 I thought it was £1m over 3 years Note the ambiguity "Verbal"... Hence my use of the word "apparent". Thanks to everyone else for their views.
Saint-scooby Posted 21 April, 2014 Posted 21 April, 2014 Ok folks no joke its Sprinkles the ice cream place Trust me shocking I know..............!
St Chalet Posted 21 April, 2014 Posted 21 April, 2014 My company was offered sponsorship at a then Premier League club for circa £400k per year.
DuncanRG Posted 21 April, 2014 Posted 21 April, 2014 I heard there was due to be some kind of announcement at the club this week... Wondered whether it could be about sponsorship? Could be anything - sponsorship, new kit, new contract for Pochettino, new range of pies at St Marys...
Olallana Posted 21 April, 2014 Posted 21 April, 2014 My company was offered sponsorship at a then Premier League club for circa £400k per year. As the main shirt sponsor? (and when, dont say 1994...)
Georgie Posted 21 April, 2014 Posted 21 April, 2014 Could be anything - sponsorship, new kit, new contract for Pochettino, new range of pies at St Marys... A new contract for Pochettino would tie in wonderfully just before the start of season ticket sales. I guess it won't be that though!
St Chalet Posted 21 April, 2014 Posted 21 April, 2014 As the main shirt sponsor? (and when, dont say 1994...) Yes and 4 years ago. Was a proposed two year deal.
Saint Jude Posted 21 April, 2014 Posted 21 April, 2014 Source was someone close to Sunseeker who had been at St Mary's this week... Genuine chap, but he's never told me anything before, so can't tell you how reliable he is... Hence asking if anyone else had heard anything? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
alehouseboys Posted 22 April, 2014 Posted 22 April, 2014 Ok folks no joke its Sprinkles the ice cream place Trust me shocking I know..............! Wow...a deal like that would be worth hundreds and thousands.
Golden Balls Posted 22 April, 2014 Posted 22 April, 2014 Pretty sure It'll be Sunseeker. Would love that. But seems a bit too premium to be a main sponsor in football.
adrian lord Posted 22 April, 2014 Posted 22 April, 2014 Sunseeker, Rolex or Louis Vuitton. We're going all 'Riviera'.
rooney Posted 22 April, 2014 Posted 22 April, 2014 Sunseeker must be a strong possibility. Rolex will not because of our existing watch sponsor.
Chewy Posted 22 April, 2014 Posted 22 April, 2014 Sunseeker would be an odd choice for a main shirt sponsor. I mean, it's rather a niche market isn't it. Still if it's the best commercial deal, why not?
John Boy Saint Posted 22 April, 2014 Posted 22 April, 2014 Sunseeker would be an odd choice for a main shirt sponsor. I mean, it's rather a niche market isn't it. Still if it's the best commercial deal, why not? Running an advert up close and personal to 11 plus people every week who have the disposable income to invest in such Grandeur, I am pretty sure Bentley have enjoyed the money made from their cars almost becoming the Company car of choice for many footballers like the Mondeo is to salesmen. And having them rather than an obscure gambling house also keeps the club squeeky clean by not encouraging debt.
JackanorySFC Posted 22 April, 2014 Posted 22 April, 2014 IMO no chance it will be Sunseeker, completely the wrong target market for them and in my dealings with them they suffer from assumptions they are a far bigger business than they actually are (thanks mainly to a canny tie in with the Bond franchise). Their marketing budget is not particularly big, they do it all in house too (well they used to, managed by the then owner's daughter). Not sure of their situation now Rob B has fully sold up to the Chinese however, but I'd seriously doubt they would be a main headline sponsor for a Premier League football team. My guess would be Nestle, UBS or Credit Suisse. All large, Swiss businesses with well known, volume consumer products and all companies name checked by Ralph Kruger when mentioning businesses he has close ties with in his interview last week.
richardc Posted 22 April, 2014 Posted 22 April, 2014 I've heard its going to be a jewellers from Winchester

Similar sort of thing to Samsung and also red and white! Pure guess on my part. Along the same lines as Samsung? I reckon LG.
brett24 Posted 8 May, 2014 Posted 8 May, 2014 From what I heard its a company I have never heard of, no where the size of LG.
itchen_dan Posted 8 May, 2014 Posted 8 May, 2014 As far as i'm aware, it is another Hampshire based company, with offices across the world. Sunseeker were interested in sponsoring but didn't get it.

Turkish Posted 8 May, 2014 Posted 8 May, 2014 Huawei? I thought them, got offices in Basingstoke and Reading, but they are massive and just signed a partnership deal with arsenal.
