Always thought Lallana would stay but was told by an ex #saintsfc player today hes heard hes off to #mufc lets see how it plays out'

Now given that he's a Utd fan I'm guessing this is just a bit of nawty fun, at least I hope it is...

Sat next to Crook at Utd game at St. Mary's last year. He was fist pumping every time Utd scored before phoning in his updates for Talksport, so I wouldn't bank on his impartiality. Gets most things wrong and half of his 'exclusives' are taken directly from this board.

Couldn't see him leaving unless it was for champions league football or Everton. He's regarded by most as a player that should be starting in the World Cup so there's no motivation in that department.

I wouldn't begrudge him a move, he's stuck with us through some **** times, but I don't see united as a wise move for him. Only if they avoid the Europa league and can focus solely on the league like Liverpool this season, but even then, they're an ageing side who are probably a few years of hard work away from mounting a serious title challenge again.

It's a shame that all journalists that report potential bad news are full of sh*t according to popular SaintsWeb opinion. 50-50 chance you know. He either goes or doesn't.

This isn't Lallana telling a journalist he is leaving. This is a journalist talking to an unknown ex player, who heard a rumour from a completely unknown source. It's just meaningless, it might as well have been written in marmalade on the wall of Primark.

There's also a 50-50 chance of winning the lottery. You either win or you don't.

Point out to me where he's said 'Lallana has told me he's leaving.' I believe he said something along the lines of a source with connections to the club told him he's going and we should see how it pans out. He never at any point said the player told him he was going anywhere, nor that he believed the source for that matter.

Never in a million years is he going to Everton. Even if they make 4th place, they aren't going to spunk £30m on Lallana.

Eh? I didn't say that, that's my point.

This is a Man Utd fan, quoting an unknown ex. Saint who heard a rumour from an unknown source, that's why I think this is bull sh*t not just because it's a negative rumour.

Misread your post - apologies.

I'm not saying I think it's true, for the record...

If Utd sign Lallana Moyes wants sacking.

They already have Mata, Fellani and Rooney playing in the same space, and now they want Ads to run in there as well!

Ads is the last player Utd need. There was another press story last week about him going to Arsenal. Both clubs need Cork, Morgan or Vic a lot more than they need Lallana.

Spot on!

Though Fellaini's not pushing anyone for a number 10 berth...

Moyes is interested in Victor Wanyama for his defence midfield position.

Maybe Shaw and Chambers for full back.

He likes the look of Morgan and Corky in the middle.

He wants Lallana to play with Mata and Rooney in the three behind Van Persie.

Moyes is also a big fan of Lovren at the back.

Is willing to sign Jay Rod as well.

Attempts will be made by Moyes to take Gallagher, JWP,Reed and McQueen.

I have just realised that I could be as good a journalist as Crook and that bullllshiiiter Alan Nixon.

Journalists like Polititians ...not to be trusted.:p

Maybe Moyes wants to manage Saints after all:rolleyes:

Although Man Ure can pay top dollar in fees and wages, I still cannot see a move to them being a sensible career move for a very good young player unless wanting three years mega pay-days and not too bothered about honours. This would suggest an age of 27-28.

My reasoning is:

No Champions League football next year and possibly not for a couple of years.

A manager who looks to be somewhat one-dimensional and second div to me. Forget what he's not done this season, look at what Martinez has achieved at Everton this year. My Man City supporting football journo acquaintance calls him his "Manager of the Year" and prays that he doesn't get the sack.

No guarantee the decline can be quickly arrested.

Uncertainty of knowing who the next manager will be.

No guarantee or realistic expectation of being top four next year.

Also how would you rate the delights of South Cheshire against those of: the Solent region; London;Spain:Italy.

Just think where Saints would be with Rooney and Van Persie in the team- top four for sure imo.

I'd stay with Poch for another year-and probably follow him if he moves to a super-team.

Of course the equation changes dramatically if an exciting managerial change occurs at OT.
