Tokyo-Saint Posted 16 April, 2014 Posted 16 April, 2014 Check out the New York Yankees, they never even make the group stage of the champions league.
trousers Posted 16 April, 2014 Posted 16 April, 2014 i downloaded the full spreadsheet & we was 155th in the world with ave player salary £23,969/pw And we're a bigger club than Celtic...
Kingsbridge Saint Posted 16 April, 2014 Posted 16 April, 2014 Wow, Reading are throwing some cash about too. But you have to laugh at the Wheeler Dealer if the R's dont make it.
Hatch Posted 16 April, 2014 Posted 16 April, 2014 it's not just the players, looks who sneaks in at 26
CB Saint Posted 16 April, 2014 Posted 16 April, 2014 What is really criminal is that FSA is getting £3.5m
OldNick Posted 17 April, 2014 Posted 17 April, 2014 What is really criminal is that FSA is getting £3.5m i was about to mention FatSam, how the dinosaur of football is paid so much!!!
Window Cleaner Posted 17 April, 2014 Posted 17 April, 2014 i was about to mention FatSam, how the dinosaur of football is paid so much!!! Stays in the PL every season with substandard sides. that's quite a feat actually.
OldNick Posted 17 April, 2014 Posted 17 April, 2014 Stays in the PL every season with substandard sides. that's quite a feat actually.not with the money he has spent. He has plenty of resources compared to Pulis
CB Fry Posted 17 April, 2014 Posted 17 April, 2014 not with the money he has spent. He has plenty of resources compared to Pulis For consecutive top eight finishes, including sixth once. If Poch does anything like that, he'd be a hero. And, Pulis spent millions at Stoke.
Matthew Le God Posted 17 April, 2014 Posted 17 April, 2014 not with the money he has spent. He has plenty of resources compared to Pulis Pulis spent millions at Stoke. He did indeed, this graphic covers 2007 to 2012 net spends...
OldNick Posted 17 April, 2014 Posted 17 April, 2014 For consecutive top eight finishes, including sixth once. If Poch does anything like that, he'd be a hero. And, Pulis spent millions at Stoke.funnily enough Pulis lost his way when he spent loads. His achievement at Palace is pretty impressive, with little fresh resource
Chez Posted 17 April, 2014 Posted 17 April, 2014 funnily enough Pulis lost his way when he spent loads. His achievement at Palace is pretty impressive, with little fresh resource he did spent a few quid in the window, but in Prem terms a pittance Wayne Hennessey £3m Joe Ledley £2.5m Jason Puncheon £1.25m Scott Dann £3m
benjii Posted 17 April, 2014 Posted 17 April, 2014 Personnaly, if I was paying the thirteenth highest wage for a manager I would hope for a bit more ingenuity than some tightly organised long ball. And is it really necessary to pay Hodgson that much?
CB Fry Posted 17 April, 2014 Posted 17 April, 2014 Personnaly, if I was paying the thirteenth highest wage for a manager I would hope for a bit more ingenuity than some tightly organised long ball. And is it really necessary to pay Hodgson that much? Well wasn't Capello on about six mil? So Roy's agent had plenty to go after with that kind of precedent.
The Kraken Posted 17 April, 2014 Posted 17 April, 2014 Well wasn't Capello on about six mil? So Roy's agent had plenty to go after with that kind of precedent. When Steve McClaren started the gravy train with £3M a year to be a f*cking useless brolly wielding baldingly ginger f*ckwit, the FA were never going to repair themselves. A more useless yet overpaid bunch of blazers you could never imagine.
ThorpG Posted 17 April, 2014 Posted 17 April, 2014 Personnaly, if I was paying the thirteenth highest wage for a manager I would hope for a bit more ingenuity than some tightly organised long ball. And is it really necessary to pay Hodgson that much? It is a poisoned chalice role. Expectations of tournament victories despite complete lack of talent in the national game (relative to other big nations). Good and bad managers have all failed and been subject to relentless abuse and criticism. If the job did not pay well no one would do it. Redknapp on more than the Spanish and German national managers... . Then again I bet neither Loew or Del Bosque are as well schooled at reciting the 'down to the bare bones' line with a straight face...
hutch Posted 18 April, 2014 Posted 18 April, 2014 Is that just yer basic, or does it include "bonuses" as well, 'Arry?
