Really nice touch with the number 9 shirt. However it felt a little like the team were still mourning a player who is out for 6 months. I felt they carried this into the game, nobody now wants to get injured...Brazil is around the corner! While I understood how they players felt last week after the injury happened, we are a week on and there still seems to be a hangover. Come on let's move on (we have no JRod now) we can't let Stoke and Newcastle catch us!

On another note I felt it was a good chance for GR to step up. Apart from some nice touches he really disappointed again.

Was undecided about it. Obviously a nice gesture, but maybe a little OTT, particularly given that it coincided with the Hillsborough weekend.

Defintely OTT. The only reason to wear a t-shirt supporting a teammate is if they've just been suspended for being racist to a fellow pro.

Well OTT. The bloke isn't dead and although unfortunate it goes with the territory unfortunately. Try working in an industry where people die doing their job and don't earn 50K a week

:lol::lol::lol:

It's a minor gesture by a bunch of mates for a pal who has suffered potentially a career threatening injury.

He's a team player, the rest of the team are showing their support to a fellow player out for half a year. No wonder i hardly post on here much. Top Saints scorer of the season out for 6minths, yeah why not, leave him to rot and let him go down hill, let's not let anyone show support and rebuild his confidence, let him become another has been. Fickle Saints fans at times.

Jesus.

I think you should carry on not posting much if you are going to put nonsense like that up.

The bloke earns probably circa £30-40 thousand quid every single week, lives a life of luxury, will get the very very best medical treatment available, who's talking about "letting him rot"?!!! I am not saying let's not care about him but let's face it he ain't going to struggle to pay his mortgage on statutory sick pay and waiting for the NHS to sort his knee out!

Mate, the bucket didn't go around, his team mates wore his number in the warm up. Get some perspective.

Obviously gutted for him and nice to see that the rest of the squad is, but the focal point of Saturday really should have been Hillsborough hence why it was maybe slightly inappropriate. Nice gesture but poor timing imo.
