I'm really not surprised. No Jay Rod, no decisiveness, no ability to really open up a team. His pace would've been very useful.

At least this result is insignificant for us, eh.

I agree with that, although he's not a lethal finisher, he does give us another dimension going forward.

Meh. This is just like the away games at Sunderland and Spurs. We looked completely in control and yet we gift them a goal and all of a sudden they have got their tails up and we look panicked at the back and clueless up front.

Without J-Rod's ability to stretch defences with his direct running our attacking play is just so slow and one-dimensional. It's far too easy to defend against.

You can see that Lallana and Lambert aren't putting in 100% after seeing what happened to JROD last week.

Can't really blame them either

Lambert should cos he's not going anyway. I've seen mountains more mobile

Its all very pretty but without taking risks you just dont get anywhere.

Have we had a shot on goal this half ?

You need to take more risks IMO, have a few more shots.

That shoulda been a goal by Gallagher

Shaw is really going to have to work on his final ball

Exactly it's fine being strong confident quick etc but he gets very few assists let alone goals.

To be fair though, we are playing against 2 banks of 4.

Yes but the trick is when you win possession or break forward to do it with more incisive passing and movement.

Forball our possession we dont look dangerous.

Gaston really doesn't want to be here does he? At least now Cortese has gone we won't have to put up with seeing ridiculous priced players not given a damn.....

Sheesh, our crossing is just terrible. Seriously, when was the last time we scored from a cross?

Well against Newcastle two weeks ago, Lambert's goal was through Lallana's cross.

To lose this would be embarrassing. They are dire.

mate, it's the southampton way. if any team is on a bad run we'll stop it for them.
