Lallana ranks 5th on total distance travelled, with the most sprints (1818) and one of the highest average speeds in the top 10....

JayRod also up there!

Shame there is no comparison on club totals

Surprised Morgan isn't in there.

Probably missed too many games compared with the others when they only have the total amount and not a per game stat...

Cork must be there or thereabouts on distance travelled?

Same as for Morgan, too few games. And I dont think he runs as much as Spider, Lallana or JRod either cause he dont run into the box as much as Spider or diagonally over the pitch like Lallana and JRod.

No Steven Davis?

Once again he's not started all of the games. If you look at the list (which I suspect is false anyway) most of the players have started 31,32,33 games and been subbed very little.Given that these CMs run 12k or so a game minimum just missing one start

knocks you back a bit. I'm sure that the individual game figures are available on Statzone or something and there you'll see who actually runs most in games played.

I'm sure Lallana was never particularly fast. What happened?

Not just about pace, the lad puts absolutely everything he has into chasing the ball sometimes. You can see in his face how hard he is working out there on the pitch. Legend.

Adam's been subbed a fair bit this season, makes his distance even more impressive!
