Pochettino's Future

Yeah with the rest of the team and his kids with him - yeah really!

Who knows - not claiming to be king detective mong - just throwing it out there. On Matchday uncovered, not uncommon for away players to come through at different times.

That makes no sense. The suggestion is that its Spurs training ground, why would he goto their training ground for a first team game at White Hart Lane?

Throwing it out there - it's a bit of mongboard conjecture ffs. Even the Spurs fans can't agree that it's definitively the training ground.

Give it a rest mate. Disappointed if he does go as I think the club has been as good for him as he has been for us, but not sure how that makes me spoilt? Bit of a pathetic comment.

Go and put your feet up and stop wumming on here if you are quite so content.

Take your head for a sh*t mush.

Far too many precious Saints fans are living in some bizarre FM14 wonderland and haven't got a grip on where we are in the pecking order and actually, really, believe that we can compete with the draw of the big clubs.

Most likely the same fans who went missing in L1.

What should we do, put them all on the transfer list to restore the natural order?

What about contracts for Cork and Fonte? Surely they are realistic aims yet Cork said he had no idea what is happening, how can that be good?

I really couldn't care less. Owners, managers, players arrive and leave and I still go and support my team. BPL or bottom of L2, I really don't care.

So your opinion is meaningless than if you are happy with whatever. Others can choose to discuss current affairs at saints on a mongboard without crying/being a pompey fan or whatever ridiculous accusation is thrown around. But well done you on not caring either way, assuming this will be your last comment on the matter?

You may well be right, but frankly it's a **** attitude to have. Why then even bother competing if you think that this pecking order is immutable?

& how do we know that deals for Cork and Fonte aren't in the offing? We don't but that won't stop you bleating.

Cork said it wasn't after last game of season so fairly decent source. May have been progress since then but maybe not.

But if he goes its fine because he is too good for us or some rubbish like that. Championship is better anyway.

It is. Money has seen to that.

On our rise from L1 we used our draw and financial muscle to get the players we wanted. Now we are on the end of it.

Clubs like ours are competing to avoid a relegation battle/finish mid-table and that's why going balls out in the cups SHOULD be a priority.

Seems as if you are the precious one darling, setting yourself up as the Saints uber fan and whinging about everyone else like some mockney wide boy.

Still not sure how fans being frustrated about the possibility of Poch leaving, and the boards efforts to retain him, confers any sense of entitlement or reveals whether they were on the terraces in L1 or not. Hardly FM14 wonderland to hope that we keep onto a manager that we already have is it?

did the get bored when cropping wherever the original picture of Pochettino was from. Could they not manage to fill this bit in with anything?

Tend to agree with you Nolan. Poch also seems to have that inner glow too, especially down the inside of his leg. And also the white thing to the right cannot the foot of the person following unless he's got an exceptionally strange, unnatural gait. Looks like Poch has got an issue with his right arm too.

The other thing the 'artist' missed was putting a fake date stamp to 'confirm' it's recent.

No, it's not, but nor is it the end of the world.

If he stays, and we make a statue of him....

The other day? Last game of the season you mean.

So he hadnt been offered a contract -pretty poor for an influential player who would attract interest yet said he would happily stay and loves it here.

May have been offered one now but nothing formally announced. Judging by the Fonte rumour the other day he hasnt yet either.

So, not just the natural order, we can't even sort out futures of lesser stars who actually want to stay!

I'm also thinking Poch's kids clothes in the Owen pic are eerily similar to the 'training ground' pic.

What are the chances of that happening?

He doesn't. He has over 11000 posts but isn't bothered who stays, goes, signs nor what league we are in.

Actually not sure why I posted that, as yes, you are 100% correct about the money. As I have said here many a time, I love Saints but I don't actually love football any more. Can't see the point in joining a competition that you have no chance of winning. I guess that there are lots of people who either support a team hundreds (or thousands) of miles from them and who they have no connection with as well as many people who never knew pre-Sky/PL footie and are happy with the situation that we currently have.

As Tennyson wrote, "men may come and men may go, but I go on for ever" which sums up Saints for me.

On one hand I want poch to stay but on the other hand I am not comfortable with the games being played. I just think we will have the same speculation every year with him.

Depends he and all the players might stay but we might have a shocking season finish just above the relegation zone and 50% of those desperate for him at to stay , at the moment, will want him sacked.

Care about what? Some bizarre fantasy that we can compete at the top end of the BPL, which is clearly boll*xs. Care what division we are on? Clearly boll*xs as I enjoyed L1 more than any football since the 80s and have said so all along.

Adrian mentions clubs, all of whom are way, way bigger than Saints (bar Blackburn who had a very rich sugar daddy) and how many of them have competed without spending £100s of millions? None.

But we can compete, our first 11 is top 6 quality

Many fans seem to think this 'bigger' thing can't change. It's odd really, the criteria keep shifting. Saints haven't the fan base or reputation yet but who knows what a decade of top flight football and academy success might do. We'd definitely get bigger.

The biggest frustration I find isn't so much the money of the top 4 or 5, it's the fact that 'big club' is largely set in stone by teams that happened to be successful in the first 100 years of football. So we can perform better than Leeds or Forest for ages and still be 'smaller'.

I've said how unlikely I think it is, but a tiny chance is enough IMO to remain very ambitious. A smaller club will get up there and challenge at some point, I have no doubt. Academy plus decent investment is the only way. Probably won't be us, but why not. I just find it strange that people start to talk about forever in sport when things change so quickly. I don't personally want to accept the top 4 or 5 clubs will remain the same for the next 50 years or so and I'll never see anything different.

I quite agree but the days where the likes of Derby & Forest can win the BPL and QPR & Saints take giants like Liverpool to the wire, are long gone. I wish it wasn't so.

What, you believe we can compete with the top 4? Are a draw as big as Spurs?

Fear not, Stevo has spoken for "the majority of Saints fans". He's clearly got his finger on the pulse of public opinion. I imagine he's done polls and all sorts.

Funnily enough my enjoyment of going to watch saints play isn't really based on some (frankly pretty unlikely) dream of breaking the top six. It's all about going down SMS at 3.00 on Saturday and hopefully screaming myself hoarse or failing that kicking back in the garage with solent on.............. not really bothered if that makes me some sort of dell sized mentality dinosaur

What gets me is that at the end of that is it says "a crucial factor in their interest in him is the hope that he will be able to get the best out of the foreign players, notably fellow Argentine Erik Lamela, who were acquired last summer."

Well im sure he has failed with our forgien players in Ramirez and Osvaldo

Ok I thought he was already gone.......... but apparently not. Sure MP will be really enthused by Spurs saying "well a few others, that we rated above you, didn't want the job so we thought you might like it "
