Pochettino's Future

it's the 'lets see what happens' when asked about leaving the club, that makes people believe something is in it

It could mean "If Poch stays so do I" - who knows? You seem to be desperately reading between lines to no useful purpose. The fundamental message coming out of the club across the board is "We are focussed on our next match - the time to discuss these things is at the end of the season" Lallana is no more than on message with the club stance.

Here we go again. SWF's equivalent of Alex Goring Crook.

I think you get a bit confused so I've decided to help you out. The last time you was satisfied with the end product was when I shared the Osvaldo information. (You continued to question it even though I shared the exact details with the exception of his shirt number).

Just because events haven't been confirmed, become public knowledge immediately or even finalised such as Lukaku's enquiry, the January targets, Astori DVD, Forren's training programme, Dani Benitez and much more (Adidas kit/Cortese, previous transfer targets in L1 & Champ, events behind the scenes). It doesn't make them untrue just because you personally haven't seen proof. There has been one or two wide of the mark but I have self admitted my 'sources' or their position in the game

and I even publicly doubt any validating that particular person may have.

I share things I hear and things I know, make sure you do not confuse the two in the future. Additionally I'd be happy enough to post a photo of my old staff visitors pass but I'm sure you'll dress it up as a fake or something degrading. You clearly enjoy and engaging in things I share otherwise you would have blocked me and believe it or not this is the point of a forum.

I've never once said the contract is happening or is real, I passed on a surprising snippet from somebody in the game who has never expressed anything ITK before and I have also gone on record saying I doubt it's validility but I'm sure the others appreciated it.

So stop with your love-in with me, I won't be dragged into a **** measuring competition with you over claiming to be ITK, I'm sure you'll find all my posts asking not to be refered to that. I still have all your PMs trying to befriend me and claim you have heard the same stuff. It's a shame, I'm sure your a lovely bloke in real life but your the busiest key board warrior on here.

Since youre offering the visitors pass - why not?

I dont doubt you Monk I really dont, but I know others do (they doubt everything, rather than just you btw).

You have listed a few of the ITK exclusives that you have posted and that have not come to light - you will understannd why some dont trust you? Im not one of them, I trust you - I trust everyone

Why would anyone come on here and lie - thats my view on it.

I spoke to someone today who knows a couple of players and the feeling I got was that AL and JRod are very likely to be here still but LS is the least likely still to be here. Not groundbreaking stuff but seems to fall in with the other stuff we are hearing

Luke Shaw is of the same potential calibre as Gareth Bale as far as prospects go. We will be lucky to get just one more season with him. Such is life.

I've been told for weeks now that Shaw would be staying. Was told something different this week though. I reckon you could be right.

Old friend of mine claims to know someone at the club (I know he knows all of the ex players very well). Didn't saying anything new, but said he'd been told Pochettino was very likely to leave and that if he did, Lallana and Shaw would be gone to. Dull/old news/bedwetting I know but thought I may as well share. Must add that I have no idea whether he is actually ITK but can't see any reason why he'd lie! p.s. dont acuse me of "trolling", just sharing what I'd heard from him.

Probably the only people who know are KL, King Ralph and MP; maybe Les Reed and MPs other half. In truth, until something is signed it could all change.

My assumption is that MP is already fairly minted, so it'll be about the size of the opportunity (and funds available) rather than package.

The question is does he think he could get more out of a bunch of big money, underperforming players at Spurs or up and coming stars at Saints (i.e. How keen are the board to keep hold of the in demand players is a factor).

It does feel a bit like a house of cards though. If MP goes I expect a bit of an exodus.

If the board have the inkling that MP is off in the summer, I hope they are lining up the replacement. MP might go, but if we bring in another manager with a good reputation then it won't be the end of the world for me.

Same with our players, if they go they will go for top dollar. I will be a bit gutted, but as long as that cash is reinvested in the team it could make us stronger.

Can't see where he might be going myself, this can (or could) only be about "the project" and not another plum job waiting for him then.

In what way does it even imply that? He doesn't give any uncertainty about his future whatsoever

I agree the quotes strongly imply he is staying - the trouble is quotes in sport and politics have become almost empty and meaningless. People say what they think they are expected to and what makes them look good, because if they're candid and honest they get pilloried.

Also, if and I mean if MP goes could we get the new manager in early ? Saints seem to leave all the transfer stuff right to the end. Bad mistake IMO.

Also first time he has admitted uncertainty re player futures.

You'd need to hear the whole interview, in the context of that quote on it's own it could quite easily be referring to incoming players, as in he can't say he's pushing for Champions League etc until he's knows what his budget is. It seems as much that, and they've written around it because anything with Shaw or Lallana's name on makes it more interesting at the minute.

Nope, but that's what I mean, it's impossible to read into the part about players without hearing the whole thing. If you read the quotes on it's own it doesn't mention us selling players, the Sky bits just put it in that context.

Presumably they were there or asked the question so would know the context? They certainly played those quotes on SSN so it must have been a response to their question and all they talk about is our players leaving so fair to assume that was the context.

They would know the context but it doesn't mean they wouldn't twist it to make it a more interesting story. They could've just as easily been saying we'd done well this year having been a record breaking season and asked what the goals were for next year, whether we can improve etc. Especially considering he then goes on to talk about that and there are no quotes about our players.

IMO it just shows a man who is doing his current job properly. No more, no less.

Also first time he has admitted uncertainty re player futures.

I didn't read it as uncertainty about the current players, more as he doesn't yet know which knew players he will have. Is your glass half full or half empty?

We are not waiting on Mopo to confirm he's staying imho

We are waiting on other clubs to decide if they want Mopo.

If nobody wants him - he stays, if a bigger club wants him..... He goes

Correct, he's only going to leave for a better job. If Lallana and Shaw leave I'd still expect him to stay if no other team makes an approach.

I know many of us joke facetiously about "shoddy journalism", but actually that really is! A proper non-story with no substance, quotes or anything. Awful.

Spurs is a poisoned chalice, yes it's a big club but it's also pretty unstable. He could find himself out the door pretty quickly unless he got results ASAP.

Saints are on the verge of something really good, if the board back the signing of a quality striker, GK and centre half and keep our current players then I think MPo would stay.

It looks like he's enjoying it here, the club and fans want him so why risk it all at Spurs?

If he does go then he has properly strung us along.

Not claiming to be ITK, never posted before but have a contact who knows someone at Spurs. Rumour is MP has already met Levy twice in the last 6 weeks. Feels he could take them to the Champions League, but wants to bring in J Rod, Lallana and Chambers. Could be bull****, but my contact has got correct info before. Would be devastating if it's true

I've heard exactly the same thing. I think MoPo's going. You only have to look at the way he always avoids answering a question about his Saints future every time he's asked.

Don't know, that's all I've heard but like I said could just be rumours. No mention of Shaw, which raises questions over whether he has a move lined up elsewhere. The thing with MP is he's never said he wants to stay. I can understand that contract talks might have been put on hold until the end of the season, but he hasn't demonstrated a desire to stay and build something here. Get the feeling we are simply a stepping stone for him, which is a little disappointing. He is replaceable though, whereas some of our players aren't

If being ITK means you know somebody who knows somebody who has heard a rumour, than at long last I am ITK.

Me too. By boyfriend was told from someone that works at the club that he heard MP, Shaw and Lallana were staying and we are buying 5 new players in the summer. Who knows whether that will turn out to be true. Probably not.

Good negotiating tactic IMO. He's got some power at the mo which will come in handy when he sits down with gruber to discuss turning down £30m bids for teenage left backs & buying new strikers.
